NZ_InFerno 396 Report post Posted April 21 (edited) 130i Parts for sale, lowered prices and updated what's remaining. Hard to find stuff like brand new OEM steering wheel insert and OEM Roof racks. Feel free to make an offer if you want a couple things. Edited April 21 by NZ_InFerno

BreakMyWindow 1949 Report post Posted May 6 Is it normal for these cars to prime the fuel pump if a door is opened after it’s been parked for a while? i.e drive the car, park it. Open the boot 20mins later and the fuel pump activates briefly.

M3AN 4073 Report post Posted Sunday at 06:01 AM Mine is now listed on Trademe also, the free listings today gave me the necessary kick in the arse (and rewarded my procrastination). Bimmersport members should contact me here first if they're interested. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/5313134381

M3AN 4073 Report post Posted Sunday at 08:07 AM (edited) No, mine has been laid up for a month on a battery tender and nothing strange upon opening the doors when I got into it today, and I didn't start it immediately. Certainly no extended pump priming. When I did start it, it fired up like new. Edited Sunday at 08:08 AM by M3AN
M3AN 4073 Report post Posted Sunday at 08:33 AM (edited) Not sure which thread to actually put this in but... Seems like a strange thing to do. Like today drove it to get groceries and back. About 15mins each way. Opened the boot about 10mins after arriving home and the fuel pump turned on for a split second. It’s as if it’s making sure there’s enough fuel pressure in anticipation of the next drive… The pump also briefly primes about 10mins after opening then closing a door. Has an error for the intelligent battery sensor so could be related. Rescued another one to restore and move on, think there was a post about it on here. Terracotta leather will look loads better in a black car, plus the oil temp gauge is helpful for track days.
Jacko 2225 Report post Posted yesterday at 06:47 AM (edited) Mine definitely primes the pump in certain circumstances, like doors etc, always has done. The Skoda is worse, if you open the bonnet can hear relays clicking and lots of things whirring... putting itself into emissions check mode I suspect Edited yesterday at 06:48 AM by Jacko
Driftit 2177 Report post Posted 23 hours ago I will pay more attention to them but I can't say I've ever heard it. The E55 does all sorts of things when you open a door. Pumps prime, air suspension fills, EBC primes. Might be too use to it. Terracotta interior looks great. Feels a little more premium.
KwS 2442 Report post Posted 13 hours ago My E91 used to do that, maybe its just a BMW thing from that era, Could even be FL/PFL difference?
