I'm talking the blue M-Lite (M135i/M140i) Brembo from the F series though, they look better (IMHO), and are much lighter, than the E series performance brakes. A little more complicated to fit though. If you're looking for used parts, it's a good idea to also peep at the for sale section of m3cutters in the UK, it's very active and covers everything BMW, not just M3's. Brianr70 94 Report post Posted Saturday at 01:31 AM On initial start up get a mild oil smell emitted from engine area, if you stop 5 mins afterwards you can see I am guessing is brief puff of oil fumes from engine bay. I drained the rear rail after reading this post: E91 rear seat wet / water in battery compartment / water ingress search (picture below is from the post) There was quite a bit of water in there. I tried to take the battery tray out, but something is stuck - maybe some clipping mechanisms? I didn't want to damage anything, so I left it there. I've drilled drain holes to the plugs in the wells and retorqued the taillight after noticing some water marks underneath it. However, despite having sunny days, I noticed some droplets of water in the driver side well today. It was in the corner next to the wheel arch. Maybe it's seeping from the seams? not sure. The passenger side rear seat carpet is still damp - again, not sure if it's just from previous leak or not. I took the bolt out but it left that rusty looking area. Could have been the ground/battery cables on the underside of the tray stopping you from pulling it out? Doesn't happen to be a sunroof car does it? One of the dumbest decisions BMW has ever made on an engine IMO. When the PCV fails or begins to fail it can pressurize the crankcase and you will start to smell oil. Leave it long enough and you will start getting leaks. Are you sure you don't have a small leak that is dripping a small amount onto your exhaust?
