I am shocked that BMW made a car in 1994 without airbags... NZ market only?

It was an option. My old 94 M3 had only a drivers airbag, whilst my 96 E36 had drivers and passengers. Plenty of cars back then didnt have them standard, it was early days of the technology.

I wonder how high it’ll get. Always curious though why people end up bidding so early in the auction.

Set and forget. I do it when I have a set amount I want to pay. Set the auto bid and leave it, dont have to worry about forgetting to bid. Its possible Jim set an autobid at 15k, and Vonkrum had one set for slightly lower, which would explain the jump.

Fair enough. Different styles. I feel like I just bid closer to the end since someone can just outbid me by a few bucks which would suck.

http://www.bidbud.co.nz does it for you 😎 Used it for years.

Plus its a more practical interface than the standard trademe one.

Nice.  I wonder if it has had it's engine and box rebuilt?  That's a good $10K.

Why would it? My old one with 300k on the clock had no issues with engine or gearbox except needing a head gasket with the previous owner, and a vanos rebuild. One before that was over 200k also with no issues other than vanos and timing chain tensioner. They're not fragile engines like the later cars.

310k here with no issues, vanos done around 150k but he's right, rebuilds are stupid money for oem engines
