1972 Baur 2002 with Alpina parts

Recommended Posts

I bought this car! Had a crazy family connection and had to have it. I spotted my dad's car (74 Tii race car)  in the background of his last Trademe pic. In the paperwork pile with the car, there was old pictures of my late father at the same meets as his late father with both of their 2002's in the early 2000's. A beautiful coincidence. Very very happy.

Rob - that's fabulous. Really pleased to hear it's gone to a good home. Please keep us up to date on your ownership!

Well, 3 years later, she’s had an extensive resto and nearly back on the road. I got a little carried away..

Gorgeous.

There's a yellow one that has just sold from north of Auckland - dereg, resto started. I hope the new owner does as much as you have.

Cheers guys! Thinking about wheels. The tyres that are on it are 42 years old so will be coming off. Was thinking the E21 13's on it would look cool reconditioned with polished dishes and gold painted centres... Or just bite the bullet and try to find some 15 inch Alpina style?!

I'm going to dig out the genuine, original BMW 15x7 02-series rims that I have stored away...
