DrphTa 5 Report post Posted March 19, 2011 Haha nice mate, have a few ponies out of that 3L Must pm me your mods?
morerevsm3 7 Report post Posted March 19, 2011 only has carbon plenum, alpha n chips, E46 M3 crank pulley, 283* BMW motorsport cams, 8.5Lb alloy flywheel and home made exhaust with high flow metal cats
DrphTa 5 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 Carbon intake of a s54? Is the e46 m3 crank pulley slightly bigger than the e36? Im after some high flow cats but they are so expensive
morerevsm3 7 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 carbon plenum made for S50, and the E46 M3 crank pulley is smaller, so it underdrives everything
Greg111 13 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 Motorsport cams as in M cams?
CamB 48 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 283* is surely heaps more than a normal S50 cam. It's awesome power - how many rpm is that at?
morerevsm3 7 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 standard M3 cams are 264* I believe, my cams are a BMW part, from M division racing parts catalogue, I got them second hand, maximum power is at ~ 8000rpm, my limiter is currently at 8100rpm
Greg111 13 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 I wasn't sure you could play with the cams on Vanos equiped motors, i guess if it's a BMW part, what was the approx price on the shaft if you don't mind me asking?

westy 614 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 Pretty hard to believe it has 700nm but only 270hp. Turbo diesel?
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 Pretty hard to believe it has 700nm but only 270hp. Turbo diesel? That torque reading would be the tractive effort no doubt. Can't be a diesel, note the peak RPMs
polley 916 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 That's torque reading at wheels, which is multiplied depending on gear and diff ratio
Garett 103 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 Pretty hard to believe it has 700nm but only 270hp. That's what i thought until i got told that the diff ratio was to blame. i think the top speed was around 220km
westy 614 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 Seems I need to use stronger sarcasm. Anyway, reminds me of that fella who swears black an' blue his NA 20b makes 690 odd nm. lol chassis dynos.

Greg111 13 Report post Posted November 23, 2012 Oh so at 100 in 5th it's doing around 4000rpm, f**k that.
No name user 379 Report post Posted November 23, 2012 That's torque reading at wheels, which is multiplied depending on gear and diff ratio correct torque is divide by the diff ratio so if it makes 700nm 3.9 diff = 179.48nm motor as long as the run was doing with a 1-1 drive ratio as for power the TCF factor should be between .98-1.00. i did a rb25 on monday 15psi made 367kw wheel and 360nm motor im sure everyone gets the picture
