14l/100km in the E46 M3 ... man you must be on it all the time!!! I get like 11l/100km in the CSL ... sometimes it even dips down in the 10s .... 17l/100km in the V8 sounds about right ... wait till you take it to the track and physically see the fuel needle move with each lap and run out of fuel before lunch time LOL!!! The E60 M5 is one of those cars that in my opinion the following statement really isn't far from the truth: "If you can't afford it brand new ... then you can't afford to keep it"

gradually - as funds permit - buying up OE suspension parts to do a complete front and rear overhaul sometime next year as well. When the old suspension comes off i really want to give the underside a really good clean - with the (ambitious) goal of keeping it that way once the new suspension is in.... I live in hope! Ahh - a man after my own heart - bimmer life begins with a clean underside. I have copped a small amount of flak re my bottom but once cleaned up (read detailed) it is very easy to keep that way (as long as you don't drive through mud). I have a set up in my garage which means I can wash the car, dry it, get it up on axle stands and wiped down underneath (including wiping off the inside of the rims etc) in 1.5 hour or so.

DIY textured coating. Less mess and looks half decent.

Had a missing package from the USA to NZ - that took a couple of weeks to sort out (diff lockdown kit) car's currently at GT refinishers getting the guards rolled and installing my new lip and side - next week @bmworkshop the LSD, lockdownkit, boost guage, new enginer cover will be done - just in time for sunday's track day at hampton downs Definitely, its just a pity that all the stage3 turbo's are only for the LHD market at this stage I have been playing around with a e40 map and i have just been so impressed how hard it pulls - i have a inline pump (for the lower fuel pressure pump) on its way so i can run straight e85 - will need to get it up on the dyno once done

Not really helpful but i lol when people say "Fully loaded!" or "All options!"..... and then doesnt have something simple like cruise control fitted.

When I was looking at coilovers for my E46 I had settled on KW V2s or V3s. Autoquip in Penrose has these for a VERY competitive price. Even cheaper than importing them from the US (by a fair amount). These have a very good international following, and have been used by a number of board members here. In fact, one member has just put them on his E46 M3.

If you want a good flush fitment go 20 or less. And 17s may look small on an e46. Just google images for them until you find something you like and fns out wht they're running
