Hi Everyone, I recently purchased my 2002 BMW E46 M3 6 speed manual (Proper manual with a clutch pedal). I absolutly love it, great car, drives great, and im looking forward to really get to know it through Track Days and Gymkhanas. Currently the car is very stock, only mods are, - BMW M6 19inch Wheels - Cup holder center console - I did fit a K&N Cold air intake kit but I was not that pleased with it so I have gone back to the original air box. I live out in west auckland so hopefully I will be able to make it to some meets. Future plans for the car is to leave it fairly stock, Over time I will look to add Bracing, Suspension upgrades, possibly change seats and thats about it really. I already have two spair sets of wheels sitting at home for this, one for gymkhanas with disposable tyres, and another for track days which I will eventually get a set of Semi Slick tyres fitted to. Some photos,

BMW parts are covered by a 1 year and in some cases 2 year defect warranty...irrespective of who fits it. If the part gets damaged or fails because of poor installation by an installer.. it's the installers responsibility

Tbh I need that stuff I'm smoking keeps me alive. love to say find a 540 Motorsport manual wagon but good luck, I'd never buy a diesel but wouldn't mind a go In one that's been chipped and a bigger turbo as I said it'd have some grunt for a tractor

^ don't know exact figures but roughly starts around $100p/h for a "old model" like an e36 then maybe upto $200 for a f30? Someone else will probably clarify this pretty quick

before you run MSSE AV - clean boot (msconfig) it, to stop as many non essential, non MS services & software starting. This will improve you chances of removal.

+1 for what Dave's said. Solid advice. If you can get your AV to identify the infection this is half the battle. As you can then research it & better understand it's capabilities, install locations, reg keys and file names.

I think there's an echo from hearing this story before, but its ok, I'll take the hit for the team............... Mate, you should be able to find one of those easy as - kool bit is the blue ones are worth next to nothing these-days too, so extra bonus there - mint order & full tank of gas - 8-10k max I reckon....... Actually, thinking bout it - I've got a mate thats got one in a barn near Tuatapere that he wants to flick, as he's a bit sick of it gathering dust now. Reckons its NZ new, reg on hold, 69,000kms, Estoril blue, black leather interior. Needs cut & polish as theres a bit of bull$hit with it, & new battery.............. He's thinking your Caldina, 2 nights with your missus (picture dependant), & 3.5k cash (depends bit on quality of those 2 nights), it be all yours ae - you be keen??

Bastardised some great engineering by installing a boat anchor under the bonnet! Worse than a rotory powered E30...

anyways .... Auckland would believe has a ton to offer. You'll learn the peak hours for traffic and how to get around that by just travelling smarter. Otherwise its as easy as welly to get around. I've lived everywhere in Auckland, and the one place I like and still like the most is the shore. It has the beaches which are nice after work. Thats my personal preference though. Property prices, ahh yes ... So I have just spent the last 8 months of my life living and breathing the Auckland property market until I found what I was looking for and bought. I was in the 500-600 bracket .. EG first home bracket. This is where you'll start to find the prices that are now not over inflated because of the LVR restrictions. Anything in the 650+ is fair game because the 20%+ equity crowd are still buying and so good houses are selling, this is backed up by stats from our financial planners. Houses that people want too much money for or are shitty aren't really selling, don't believe the BS in the news for the 1 or 2 one offs that reach silly prices ... maybe in hipster town aye Jooles (it's ok .. I use to be one of those too, now i'm not cool as i'm over 35) I have a fairly balanced view on Auckland, I was raised in the South Island and lived in Auckland the other half. As much as the rest of country gives us sh*t, Aucklanders actually don't care evcen though for some reason the rest of the country thinks we do. So don't worry about ya mates giving ya stick. Once youre up here .. youll get it Oh yea, we actually have car washes and other 1st world amenities.

I don't really go much over 100kmh anyway, Maybe cruise at 110kmh every so often on straights. The only issue I have is that I MUST be at the front of the line I hate being behind people on the open road, takes away from my driving experience, How can you express your anger at the driver if you have to crawl past them on a passing lane at 104kmh .

You'll also need to learn 5 more different languages, and all the special Auckland road laws ie: Mercedes with flashing L/H indicators means they are turning right. A red light means you can still proceed for another 30 seconds. It'll take a while to get used to though.
