Picked up the new car this weekend, a 2010 335i M-Sport. Put about 450km over about 10 hours on it just this weekend and loved every minute of it.

while I prefer a manual...I must admit I love my auto e39. its my daily driver and work car and to be honest when I get off a boat sometimes at 3am in the morning with a 4hr drive to get home after been away for weeks on end the auto is the best thing in the world...I can still put it in manual if I want to hold gears etc im saying this im looking for another e36 2.8 to turn into a track car and there is no way anything but a manual will do. everything has its place depending on what its used for or what people want from it so.....who gives a flying f*ck if this person thinks manual is better than auto/auto better than manual.

Keep it coming guys, the enquiries for manual conversions just keep rolling in. Went for a spirited drive today in my S54 M coupe and tried to imagine an auto version. Yawn...then had a big laugh at the joke. In my world anything pre E60/E90 should spend at least some of its life as a manual.

I'd just take it for it's wof if it fails on that then asking as you get them recovered and installed in the 28 days you can take it back show them and they'll pass it

It is very retro interior especially with wind down windows/sunroofI have had like 3 or 4 cars at a time at one stage, my bagged e30 is going to be sold one stage this year, just going to paint bonnet body colour and change tail lights then wof and sell. Will be looking for about $15,000 for it. I really like this car but I am unsure if I wana keep it stock or ruin it with my taste of suspension, so not sure if its worth going to someone whom is wanting to maintain it as a classic or if I just suck it up and look after it. I was really wanting airbags but I dont want to take away the originality. Here is a nice 1jz swapped bagged e28 :

I never disagreed with that and like i said most people buy BMW for the badge. I thought it was obvious my posts were a bit off the original topic idk why you bothered quoting me. I do agree with Ron in that society is being dumbed down. Unfortunately its not just limited to automobiles

She's a 69 super deluxe and some of the interior is like new which is handy

Yeah, but we are saying why they aren't offering them new. If im dropping $80-200k on a new BMW, i couldnt care less that the third owner cant afford to rebuild or source a decent transmission, nor do i care that he would prefer a manual transmission etc.

Best hold on to your old manual boxes - there won't be any new ones being made in the very near future!

I find it easy to park correctly all the time. Also, take that you stupid bitch, takes all of 5 seconds to correct a parking mistake.

Thanks for the input mate, we're definitey looking at the manual 997 turbo.. the new 991 carrera looks amazing too, however no where near the power of the turbo cars. hmm interesting note on the 996 turbo.. Yeah the R35 just seems to be so powerful, yet lacks that intangible.. and the R8 seems to ooze class and supercar appeal. After reading Julian's advice I'll probably make sure we look at that M6 and the M5.. v8 twin turbo m5 is around the same price as the R8, R35, and 997 turbo in the canadian market. I am rather looking forward to the test drives almost more than Mardi Gras in New Orleans haha Prices seem to be good there.. might be moving to Vancouver next year so looks like I'll be in a similar senario then..

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-696145136.htm How do people feel about 18x9 genuine refurbed alpinas? Or are we still in the style 5 boat?

Haha yes they sure are but after owning an airbagged bmw I seriously would love to get this thing laying frame on some 18x9 rotas. May not be your guys cup of tea but these rims in a way are appealing.

Yeah i remember something about you replacing that now. There's also relay module which i forgot about that can cause problems like this

Thanks for that. She's back together and running now after a fair few drama's. After getting a new bung, the overflow nipple snapped off. Replaced that with a new one and filled her up to find a leak in the radiator Replaced that and found that the overflow also had a leak. Sorted that and detected a hiss from the radiator cap. Let it sit over night so I could top up the coolant in case there was an air pocket. Topped her off and drove to work and found that it had leaked out the cap. Replaced the cap today and finally its all sweet. Will give the bay a bit more of a tidy up and take some photos over the next day or two.

Its rush hour there in Dannivirke - the next vehicle to park there is probably a parallel parked stock truck............... We ain't all in Queen Street ae.............

Yea, I know. Trouble is my teeth are gritted on some other stuff, so I'm well into 'F#ck it, its just a car' in a clinical way at the mo on it, rather than spending time out in the shed in lazy-boy 'just admiring it'...... I'm told I do 'dumb $hit' sometimes, so yea, high odds selling this will get added to that list....even from my perspective....
