Even after 2 years in the E46 M3 it still amazes me how good it really is in the handling department. The wind was gusting 130km/hr today around Wellington and the M3 was solid on the road. Not even a hint of being blown around on a 100km round trip...and talk about a grand exhaust note in the Mt Vic tunnel. Had to share....

You mentioned that because of all the techo stuff in the car you had to turn things off or tell it what to do which is nice options option I suppose. Was that not a distraction from just getting in and driving the car also all the other items you might have to fiddle with?

Bit of an update on this - No cable mod was required for the 2005 e61 wagon I have the cable used was http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/tools-repair-kits/meters-testers/auction-747029367.htm the software was actually downloaded from mega.co.nz host and I used the "Bmw Standard Tools 2.12" installs everything with one click apart from a few unzippings to move the daten files into the correct place - I used a win7 32 bit laptop, the setup must be run in xp sp3 compatibility mode, but other than that pretty basic stuff. As I am waiting on info to get the correct vehicle order to code the entire vehicle to nz or somewhere close, I found that these settings worked - I know that if someone recodes the car the changes will revert until vehicle is correctly coded for oceania. Below are the names of the modules and the line in each config file that needs updating. Too CHOST ------------------------------------------- LAENDERVARIANTE_GT ece CTUNE ------------------------------------------- RDS_AF_FUNKTION_CCC rds_ein_af_automatisch LAENDERVARIANTE_TUNER_ANT ece CAPPL ----------------------------------------- LAENDERVAARIANTE_TUNER ece Took about 10 mins, now I have proper nz frequencies and track info etc. Next project is add an aux input. Maybe tomorrow I will enable mp3
