With the help of AK330i's post, http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/6327-how-to-reprogram-jap-bmw-radio-to-nz-frequencies/?p=492117 I have successfully coded the CCC iDrive in my Japanese imported 05 E61 530i as below... Changed these settings with NCS-Expert: CTUNE before: RDS_AF_FUNKTION_CCC (RDS is the bit that shows the name of the station on the screen) rds_aus LAENDERVARIANTE_TUNER_ANT japan CTUNE after: RDS_AF_FUNKTION_CCC rds_ein_af_automatisch LAENDERVARIANTE_TUNER_ANT ece CAPPL before: LAENDERVARIANTE_TUNER japan CAPPL after: LAENDERVARIANTE_TUNER ece There's this setting too, but not sure it's needed (I didn't use it the first time): CHOST before: LAENDERVARIANTE_GT japan CHOST after: LAENDERVARIANTE_GT ece There is probably an oceania, aus/nz alternative to ece but ece works none the less. I was pretty happy with myself once complete, however, a few days later I installed and coded a new battery, and it blew out the hard work above and reverted back to Japanese frequencies. So can anyone please tell me what changes I need to make to the Vehicle Order to make these things stick? There isn't a lot online about getting these Japanese imports to play ball... Cheers, Duncan

JF changed drive into a pay-per-view model. Ratings dropped hard, Chris worked out he was the one with all of the automotive relationships with euro car makers etc and decided to start his own channel back up again and keep it free (like the other presenters already have) and just keep on doing what he does. His videos have the same quality, but he has more say on what is released. Videos will be around 3-4 month release .. but their is no set release schedule ... which is good Its the same as mighty car mods model ... product placement is the way forward I believe.

Been seeing the silver e46 m3 'A2K' parked outside my apartment building last few days. I've seen it on the forum here a fair few times, who's is it again? Looks very tidy!

I can guarantee that once I drive it as my daily I'll really, really want one in the race car. But the #333 car is very enjoyable with what's in it - Great fun. I don't think I've driven an e30 with a manual 2.5 in it though, so it's going to be an awesome Christmas present to myself. And of course it frees up space in the engine bay of our E30 Touring, so we can finally start doing something with it.

I couldn't fit H3 LED's in the housings, so just the standard bulbs. They're ever-so-slightly yellower than the xenon headlights, but I barely ever use them. I would recommend LED's if you can make them fit tho - just beware some throw codes. I replaced my high beams for this reason.

There are about 1500 propertys on TM between 300-400k all over the auckland area, your first home is just that, a first home. Its a step on the ladder, it might not be where you want to live for the rest of your life but better than renting and complaining that you can't afford that 900k house. When i brought my first house i sold all my toys, didn't go out parting like my mates, had flatmates (lots), worked around the house building and adding on improvements. I don't think the LVR have helped ether, and i hear through the grape vine that when they are removed all the new/first home buys will rush in and push the cost up even more. And my new CV has just arrived.

Hi Duncan, I did the same to my jap-import E87 130i to get the radio onto the NZ Frequencies with RDS - thanks to previous post by Crabstick. I'm also looking to code to get rid of the very annoying reverse gong, and then ultimately recode the full car to Europe or Oceania. I guess updating the VO (Vehicle Order) would be done with the "FA" button on NCS Expert, but not yet confident enough to try this due to lack of knowledge. Cheers, Mick

different from the norm would be rocking something that isn't made by BBS. "boring" colours would look best imo. Josh said Champagne, that might work well. Just dont do orange or lilac or some stupid thing like that. Its not a VW
