Ok guys. I think I have decided... I am going to go for an E46 M3... There are a few reasons: No. 1 it has a straight six )) lol To me it is an iconic engine. Especially in an M3. And I feel it resonates with me. )) No. 2 I will be able to fix it myself. This one is a biggy to me. I love working on my cars. I love understanding how they work. Unfortunately I feel a little uneducated in relation to new technologies to trust myself with an E92 and new V8 technology. However I will drive both E46 and E92 to make the final decision. So my next move now is to find a buyer for my E36 M3. If you know anyone, who might be interested in a very well looked after M3 please let me know. Thank you for your input guys. I really appreciate it a lot!

dont think you can get rechargeable / not necessary/ recommended I dont think, they should be good for another 15-20 years some make/cars like Holdens DO charge their fobs via contact rings on the ign but no bmw's that i have seen

@Joker thanks mate, worked perfectly, was missing the rear view mirror step, been searching for hours thanks. Also i have cr2016 batteries in them, do i need rechargable batteries?

if pic not viewable : get in car > close door > turn key to on then off > remove key hole unlock then push the lock button 3x > release the Unlock button > LED should flash for 10 seconds > while its flashing hold it near your receiver/Rear view mirror and hit the unlock button > car will lock then unlock itself to signal success! for second key hold the unlock button and hit lock 3x (repeat process etc) before you put ANY key in the ign.

Why does an e46 get a 4 star ANCAP safety rating when it previously had a 5 star rating & and a 2015 Suzuki Swift which failed its independent crash test result get a 5 star ANCAP rating? I know the answer to this .. and it has nothing to do with safety.

I think it's a fair price. Low kms, nz new. Sounds like it was bought by the right kind of current owner.
