These are great dailys. Check for wear in the control arms and play in the steering at these kms.

Damn, very nice and tidy. Good buy for the price.

Don't worry about the kms. It's a good price for a well-specced E46 Touring. Oil level check sensor is an easy and cheap fix. The rest... There's very, very few 10+ year old cars that don't have minor cosmetic issues. Check the service history. If it looks good, buy it.

Im regards to the car its self, i think its a damn good base for a really fun car. I was interested in it until i realised that all the bumpers and MSport kit are all unmatched to the body color, the AC doesnt work, it has an oil leak and no cert. I think thats whats letting it down. I see its down to $5k start reserve now, im sure it was about 7-8k when i last looked. At $5k i think its a damn good deal.

I'll probably leave it in P400 mode when i'm towing, unless i need to pass someone!

the vast majority couldn't build it for 5k. a 328i manual donor alone is worth more than that

You can expect plenty of roadside conversations with the constabulary about this wing. I think there's a difference between a bike rack - fastened to the bottled with clips - and extrusions bolted to the chassis. When a ped collides with the bike rack, it will cause bruising and contusions, but will ultimately disconnect from the car. Worst case scenario - a broken bone. Your wing will slice the same ped up. It's not for the road.

I reckon you're gonna be pushing sh*t uphill with the pointed end of a stick to get that past the authorities.

Drove to Napier and back this weekend - just under 1000kms round trip - and it was an absolute pleasure. So much grip in the twisties it's insane and more than enough power to make the very best of the steep uphill passing lanes between Taupo and Napier. Engine absolutely purred and managed a 12.7L/100 average despite some spirited driving. That may not sound that flash but is pretty amazing compared to the 24L/100 she sits on with my general weekend use! Unfortunately, the AC compressor developed a death rattle halfway. I'm picking failed clutch bearing as the same thing happened to my old E39. Probably cheaper to replace the unit than repair, so hoping I can find a good used one. It was stinking hot in the Bay, so it was a tad sweaty on the return journey but that's what the big pillarless coupe windows are for. I am deaf now though and my hair looks like Kramer from Seinfeld. Forgot to take the camera so had to rely on phone pics...
