So, to sum it all up, the best oil to use is an oil that isnt available here.

$1 reserve is actually a really good way to sell a car

I think this is being enormously over complicated. Even the cheapest mineral oil available off the shelf would be good enough to lubricate those parts assuming it got there. Or I may have missed some sarcasm above?

Well, after much thought, time and research, i'm about to attack this project of mine. As some may remember, this car was my Brothers, King Arthur, i think was his user name building a 1000hp Turbo project. Since my brother passed away last year, he gave this car to me, and only asked me to put it back together. As much as i want to run it with Forced Induction, that won't be happening just yet, and i'm now in the process of putting her back on the road, it'll be a long arduous task, but well worth the experience, and i want to do this for my big brother ?. ( we'll hit that turbo E36 soon...do not worry )... So, Let's do this ??

Last weekend consisted of a few minor changes to the car New Waterpump Added Thermostat - yes, added. I opened the thermostat housing to find that the thermostat was non-existent! No wonder it was running cold all the time... Oil change etc Added a little 8" fusion sub/amp to add to the current sound system - didn't want something too over the top - it does the job perfectly! Next up: Custom fabric shift boot Custom sunroof fabric lining Attempt at dyeing the carpet black... starting from the rear since easy to get to. On another note, found a cargo cover from the UK for 20 pounds! Having it shipped over and will also try a refurb on it.

Hi Brent Whenever I'm researching a change, I use RealOEM to sort through the part numbers of the different models of car. You can put your VIN number in and get the part numbers specific to your car, then select, say, a 2.2 L Z3 and check out the drive shaft, mounting cross member and electronic module part numbers etc. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select?product=P&archive=1&series=Z3&body=Roa&model=Z3+2.0&market=EUR&prod=20000400&engine=M52&steering=R I suspect that the mechanical part will be easy, maybe having to change the front section of drive shaft. The electronics will likely require a bit of coding. Also check out the LVV modification rules to see if this is a modification that needs to be certified. Probably is if you have to change part of the drive shaft, then you'll need to add drive shaft hoops for both sections. Remember to talk to the modification certifier before you do any work. A little guidance at the beginning can avoid problems later on.

To celebrate getting her back on the road I added 15hp. Well, at least that's how I translated the Taiwanese auction description!

Been a bit slow with progress, but here's a small, but significant update, finally got my hands on a Full E36 ZF 5spd manual conversion from one of my good contacts, removed off a factory 328i manual. It came with a strange looking Momo Gear Knob haha, i guess it'll grow on me before i get a OEM Style replacement. Still looking to add a few things, will be replacing the transmission mounts prior to installing, although they don't look half bad, the Clutch / Flywheel could do with a rebuild, but i'm leaning toward acquiring one of the NZAD Stg 2 kits, or Speedfactors Competition package. Tied down with work atm so i've just pulled them out of the car yesterday evening, will wait to clean them hopefully next week, in the mean time, i must source other little things ? ?. Onward and upward from here ?

After 15 years we see the return of the BMW short films with Clive Owen resuming his role as The Driver. Cant wait for the first installment. For those poor unfortunates who haven't already seen them here's the originals. I almost peed myself laughing when Madonna wet her pants..lol
