to be fair, I'm not sure I'd be trusting VTNZ to even judge or correctly measure tint value/visible light transmission. Take it back to AC BMW for the WoF! They WoF'd it first time. Problem solved. And you can speak - face to face - with their sales manager. I'd be disappointed too. Though I'd get it resolved to my satisfaction. Let us know how you get on.

First impressions: ohhhhhhhh, it's good. Rear's up higher (it looked saggy/arse-down last weekend with our two kids in the back, and groceries in the boot); its adopted the 'sit-up-and-beg' attitude of new shocks at the front. 4x4. But I don't care. Seems very composed.

Hi all! I'm a kiwi living in Melbourne. My current car is a '82 VW Golf GTI tintop. Mars red on 15" BBS RMs, otherwise pretty much original! I've had an e38 previously when I was in Welly, black, black tails, corners, side markers and lowered on 20's. I'm actually in the market now for an m635csi, manual 635csi, or something of the e9 persuasion. Pretty hard to find so if you know of anything let me know! Ben

Depends on: Model Age Environmental exposure, Mileage Generally I find BMW Electrics rather good, newer stuff tends to have module failures so that is a debatable issue. Older stuff (pre 2000) is typically the most logical and simplistic type, using separate wires for each function linked to relays and sensors. It's easier to modify and change around IMO. Newer stuff, early 2000s on, went to a CAN bus (or similar) system that uses single wires between modules to communicate, basically like a Ethernet system within your car. If you have the means to use BMW diagnostic software it's pretty awesome at solving problems and getting live telemetry from the cars sensors so you could argue it's better than the older pre OBD2 CAN systems. However the complexity does go up with that. I personally like the older style as it's all fairly straight forward, if maintained properly, would last for decades. E30 / E34 era etc.

When she arrives today. Its only a 740i as I haven't managed to find any 750s, but a V8 will still sound cool.

If we don't have it in America, it isn't a real car.

If your after short term intercooler gains then you could got down the water spray kits that put a mist of water onto the intercooler . Would be reasonably effective. http://m.ebay.com/itm/400303484278?_mwBanner=1 otherwise water cooled intercooler s are very effective for size like the ones found on M5s or new m3. Does mean an additional radiator but if you end up chasing large hp number gains would be a way to go. http://www.germanboost.com/content.php?6873-Here-is-what-the-BMW-F80-M3-F82-M4-S55-hpfp-s-(high-pressure-fuel-pumps)-and-the-inside-of-the-water-to-air-intercooler-look-like

It's only good looking because it's the face-lift version with the front and rear ends fixed.
