Found that my silly car will do 0-100kph 1 second quicker if I turn off the active suspension so its not working while driving... haaaa

Hey guys, finally back in a BMW after 5 or so years. Used to own a e30 325i which i had a little progress thread for somewhere on here. Have since owned a variety of japanese cars, mainly Hondas. But have just picked up a 2010 135i this morning. Have been looking for one for a while now. Got extremely lucky with finding this one, got it for a steal as a last minute deal from an old friend who was leaving the country for good today. Only found out about it last night and promptly secured it. It's got the n55 motor and DCT trans which I'd really wanted. Plans aren't too big for it at this stage, maybe a stage 1 reflash to start with and a few subtle cosmetic changes but mainly just a weekend car, drives amazing and the gearbox is brilliant. Long weekend work done. Headliner, all pillars, rear parcel shelf all removed for re-lining. Headliner saggy as sh*t. Since most of the lights are out, might as well do interior LEDs as well. Looking forward to a fresh new interior linings. Just needs starter motor replaced, tomorrow's job for removal. Steering rack is noisy on adjusting so that'll get looked at while it's off the road for a week or so. Then we are pretty sweet, touch wood trim

The live searches are terrible. And the expired listings searches are all-but non-existent. Absolute rubbish. Nothing some more search filtering, or filtering of search results wouldn't cure. And the results... Search for something valued up to (say) $5k, and get results for things starting at $17k. Kinda defeats the object. Filtering older car searches by year is terrible too, with 10-year brackets to select. Looking for something between 1985 and 1995 means you have to trawl through everything from 1980 to 2000. Assuming the seller has been bothered to advertise something correctly... Right. That's enough for today. Sunday morning, the sun is shining. Wife and daughter are out for a while. I'll get something useful done, then perhaps we'll pop out and enjoy the sun for a while.

Picked up a waterblaster from the "Paul's Birthday" sale at Supercheap Auto today. Even better, tomorrow I get to play with it! Oh and blew >$150 of giftcards within hours of receiving them

Happy birthday for yesterday, Jon. And happy birthday for today, Paul. Me today, life is great. Painting son's bedroom. Family outing running errands. Our offspring squabbling in the back of the car. By chance visited a great Deli. Since returning home, along with my wife I've been enjoying some really fine French unpasteurised cheeses, with the best baguettes in town, and a bottle of Pegasus Bay Bel Canto (2011). yep, life is choice, bro.
