Ive got the DSC and brake light error on my E39 and scanned the car which showed a wheel speed sensor fault. I replaced the sensor but problem persists. However, it is intermittent, usually comes on after a bit of driving and goes away after restarting the car usually. I have read that it could be a faulty ABS module - in which case can I replace it with a used part just swap right in or does it need coding? Alternatively, I also heard that I could get this part repaired - does anyone know where I can get this done and estimate cost? Or should I try another wheel speed sensor as the part I replaced it with was just pulled from a pick-a-part (used). Thanks!

If your car came with 19 inch runflats you'd see why lol. Rides like absolute sh*t

yeah my wagon does this only you need to ever so slightly wiggle the shifter over to the left as you move it down from N to D. Was quite bad when I first got it thinking I'd need to fix/replace but It seems almost non existent now. probably a combo of knowing the knack to it and the car being used much more often than it was with the PO.

Thanks I agree, the E90 wheels with offsets around 30 work really well on the 3 series and also 1 series compared to the original stock wheels. All ive done so far is the new wheels and tyres, alignment, an oil change, tinted windows, black grills/bumper mesh and a good clean. next on the list is a headlight polish at some point and probably a trans service just for good measure.
