Vapour blasting would take the metal back to steel, then you spray the bay with no clear in your gun. It’s incredibly simple to mimic paint finish as poor as BMW have been outputting over the last 20 years. The challenge really is to get as much orange peel into the clear as they seem to.

Drivers seat upholstery fix this week at Waikato Motor trimmer. new lower outside bolster foam and material and a re shaped upper bolster too with small price of new foam to bring the shape back to factory. A pic of the removed lower bolster and a shot of the rejuvenated seat.

Yeah that's it. They have been sending out letters for the last year or so, but alot of imports get brought in without going anywhere near a dealer in Japan or NZ. Always good to check with your local dealer if there are any recalls when buying a car Nop

Connects PCV to the intake manifold and has a heater element to it, have been known to melt. Engine needs to be not hot when doing the recall

Been doing those for the last 2/3 years, common recall on most N series 6 cylinders Edit: prob wouldn't be surprised if it needed an airbag as well since its a jap import

Counterpoint: the car (at one point) had most of the Schnitzer E46 catalogue on it, and came out of one of the most expensive to live countries in the world. It really isn’t beyond the realms of possibility to think that the original owner changed the colour of the car at the same time, and had a proper job done.

In BMWs case they aren't flaws, they're features! I think I need to get a Japanese car again next to remember what it's like to have a car that never needs any work.
