Not much been happening with the car lately, but finally got the rollbar homologation done so its all officially MSNZ approved now, logbooked, homologated, got my car club membership and M grade license so ready for a hillclimb later in the year. Still need to get around to measuring correct swaybar endlink length and order a set of adjustable ones.

My insurance changed heaps in January on renewal, coverage dropped $2k in value from $15k to $13k and price went up $5-10 a month. That's with AA, agreed value. About $900~ a year. I'm an AA member so believe there's a discount on my policy.

Minor update, ever since taking that longer road trip to Mangatainoka the diff chatter is significantly better. I guess it only needed a real long drive to get diff oil in. So far no electrical panic since changing the IBS as well, only discharge warning when it had to be left while we where out of town. I had never had this warning, so likely that old IBS is really busted. Aaron also couldn’t get any data out of past 2 days. I also just changed the wipers, so far 2023 has been a boring year… knock on wood 😅 Got also parts accumulating in the shelves and to do items. 10 injectors, fuel pump, thermostat, throttle body actuator gears, etc. I am looking to change our keys, the battery is probably super low now. I know you can replace the battery by soldering, but I might buy an aftermarket key and code that in case I break the original keys.

The amount of stupid sh*t coming out of Wellington in past few years is mindblowing, its like every government organisation got a lobotomy.

Only had it in the car a few days but just did a road trip to taupo and back and it worked great. It's large but doesnt really impair any vision. touch screen works great. all the steering wheen buttons work, didnt even have to hook up to the aux outlet. must do it within the wiring harness somehow.

Mine went up 15%, in laws went up 39%.
