    I had some coding done by @The Bimmer. He did an amazing job and even came out to my place in the sticks. Appreciate the work and would like to tell others what a pleasant experience it was. Thank you bud!

    "Condition: Unrestored, close to factory delivery condition". Didnt know they came from the factory with wear on seats, shift boot, gear knob and the rest that cant be seen.

    If you doing trailing arm, diff bushes and hoses its not much more work to drop the whole subframe and makes doing the bushings way easier. Ive got a spare subframe with all new bushings, too bad you are a bit far away and probably expensive shipping otherwise id offer it.

    At work today. Finished a clients e30 off so did an impromptu photo shoot with my old man's baur and my client/friends completed, bagged tech 1 build. Enjoy

    Got the new gauge face today, well packaged and overall I'm really impressed with the quality !! I got the face fitted today but not after some drama, which I could have probably avoided if I'd read a bit more before starting. Minor issue: I'd got some chrome bezels from a 330 cluster some time back and was waiting for this job to install them. Didn't realise they were only held in with some mastic it seems so need to source some to fit them permanently. No biggie. Major issue: Managed to break 3 out of the 5 stepper motors when removing / installing the needles 😭 After much researching it seemed this was a common issue and I just needed to be more careful with the removal / install. Conveniently I have 2 spare clusters (one from the bezels and one for my CAN development) to rob parts from !! I tested the one which was still complete and all motors worked well ... considered using that whole cluster and doing the EEPROM plus coding thing, but that seemed like another layer of drama I'd prefer to avoid, and I still needed to remove / install the needles. What I ended up doing was removing all 5 stepper motors from the good cluster and swapping them into my otherwise good board. Turned out to be incredibly easy and everything is working perfectly again !!! Top tip was to use compressed air to blast out the liquid solder instead of using a wick or sucker. General & pics: As I'm driving the tacho via my Arduino it was relatively simple to re-calibrate this to suit the new RPM range. I also fixed up the left hand stalk which has never clicked 👍

    Also converted a couple of 123d`s. One to a manual with origional N47 and another to M57N2.

    Back from the dyno in one piece Made 306hp / 228kW at the hubs which seems fairly good compared to the factory numbers for the VQ37. The OEM tuning had things pretty well under control so was not a whole lot of additional torque / power to pickup and ironically the biggest improvement was from replacing the crank case breather with a rubber bung with a small hole in it 😂 This let the crank case run at about a 4psi vacuum due to the dry sump ... aiding ring seal and reducing windage. Will go over the CSV exports from the dyno and see if I can whip up a start / end graph or something fun.
