Still much cheaper to get from schmiedmann. 167usd shipped from ECS, 98usd shipped from Schmiedmann. They are almost always by far the cheapest for genuine parts like this in my experience.

Offering up my 1996 NZ New E36 M3 3.2 Evolution. As much as I love this car, I’m finding I don’t get to use it as much as I’d like ( 2 doors don’t work with young kids). Looking to move to an E90 M3 instead. details: •NZ new •166,000kms •Factory 6 speed manual •Non-sunroof •Aluminium doors •Black leather interior •Near new Bilstein suspension •Plenty of service history Best description of the condition of the car is that it’s a true survivor. It has a few stone chips but not one dent or clear coat fade. It presents very well and would be hard to find another in this condition. Please get in touch if you’d like to view. Car is in Central Auckland. 021 657 522 Thanks, Brad

Finally got the Mybmw app working with my imported car. Fortunately the car came with the 4g version of the ATM module. BMW have registered all the SIM cards in a private APN network of some kind. Looks like BMW have giving exported cars from country of Origin a life line for using the app. My car was brought in Uk. What worked for me In the app there is an option for pre delivery. I put in my vin number and the app was able to do a look up . But the app would post an error if I connected phone to car via usb to complete registration. I then followed the instructions here https://faq.bmw.ee/s/article/My-BMW-App-Settings-Einstellung-Sprache-kA9kU?language=et# So key was to change language from nz English to GB English. I also changed my profile address from my nz home to the postcode I lived in London in 2005 I connected the phone again and the app was able to complete ownership of car and use the app. I changed my profile back to nz so no issues but the only downside is I can’t select my NZ BMW dealer in the app. But remote phone services such as lock / unlock car, turn on ventilation and get fuel status all work as does locate car 😀.

Up for sale is my f30 320d motorsport. Jap import and I am the 2nd NZ owner. It has had quite a bit of work done to it. Maps and stereo upgrades to NZ maps and radio stations, Gloss black grills, Brand new satin black 20 inch wheels with 245/30/20 inch tyres on the front 8.5 inch wheels et35, 255/35/20 on the 9.5 inch rears with et40. I have just serviced it along with fuel and air filters, I have also just did a trans service with ZF lifeguard fluid. Has the following features * Cruise Control * M Performance aftermarket front lip * Aftermarket Mirror caps * Big infotainment screen * Lane departure warning system * Bluetooth calling and audio playback * Isofix for child seats * Angel eyes are daytime running lights * BMW welcome lights * Comfort Access where you use your thumb on the door handle to open the car without needing to push the button on the key. * 4.6 litres per 100ks average fuel consumption. * Motorsport Alcantara interior * many driving modes including sport/sport plus/eco pro mode *Automatic start/stop with off button * Real time fuel/power delivery and suspension readings These are excellent and reliable vehicles and being a BMW specialist mechanic I have made sure it is ready for trouble free motoring for the new owner. It is extremely good on fuel and loves long commutes. I have done 1200 plus ks on a tank on a couple long trips. I am only selling as I have my wedding coming up in May and need funds to put towards it otherwise I would of never imagined listing it up for sale. Please note the personalised plate is not included with the sale and not up for negotiation. I have had multiple offers for this plate but will not sell it no matter the offer. To Bimmersport members, In order to process your requests for parts quicker - please provide your Registration Number or FULL VIN NUMBER (if the vehicle is not registered) when making an enquiry. It is quicker for us to process requests this way, as opposed to telling us your Year/Model/Engine. This allows also us to decode anything for your vehicle (providing, of course, it's not an engine-swap). We cannot do this by simply the last 7 of the VIN alone. Alternatively you can email us - [email protected] or use our online chat function . This will allow us to process requests quicker for you all! Many thanks! 🙂

The engines back out sooner than I had hoped.. Fortunately with the front end already off it took <2 hours to get it out. Love how easy the E46 is. Split the gearbox in search of the leak from the bellhousing and as suspected it was the input shaft seal. I replaced it while the box was out the first time since it was weeping but it was leaking a lot of fluid now and the seal wasn't happy. Couldn't see anything wrong with it, so I tried my luck and tapped it in a bit further. No luck. Had to bite the bullet and remove it and get another one ordered. $60 seal, ouch. I could see the slightest imperfection on the lip of the seal once it was out but have a hard time imagining that was causing the drip, hopefully the next one has no issue otherwise I'm out of ideas. Took a bunch of photos but lost them somehow so here it is removed. . In the meantime I've reassembled the rear end. subframe and arms in with all new bushings, ball joints, and bearings, 330 diff, 330 rear brakes, new brake lines all round. 330 cluster rings and manual cluster panel panel added. Technically since this is a coupe it should probably have the grey dial faces but I actually prefer the look of the black ones. The smoke tester arrived, it works good. No complaints except for the smell of the smoke, and it gets everywhere, on your clothes hair, skin etc. I tested with the motor removed and just plugged the purge valve and sucking jet pump but it revealed absolutely zero vacuum leaks. The thing is air tight. Pretty much only leaves a brake booster vacuum leak, bad MAF sensor, or bad O2 sensors, as my rough idle issue. I will have a look at the fuel trims once the motor is back in the car and see what the next step is. Tempted to just order a MAF regardless since it's nice to just rule it out and have a fresh one, I already have O2 sensors on order but they're not due until the end of march.
