So to find a set less then 5 mins from my house and for perfect amount of cash left in my wallet from new years.........its meant to be.

OK so the boss has decided that she quite likes the E38s drivability and comfort/ quietness and wants to use it for her daily for a while. Good news for the E61 its only got 62k on it and will likely quietly tick along a few thou a year now, unless we trip out to the SI later this year but that'll only be 3k round trip. Either way I'll still drive the E38 or E61 weekends when we're out like we have, so no losses here E38 heading to 210k and due for oil change shortly, will do the gear box fluid and filter change as well

Sooooooo I was have a troll threw tardme this morning searching for e34 bits and Bob's and then this happened. Didn't think I would see a set on trade me let alone have a buy now of $70. Happy new year to me.

Yeh think I've got one of those kicking around, good plan. Went to bolt the driveshaft up the other day, found the kit parts were mismatched which is a bit annoying, the guibo is set for 12mm bolts, with the output flange for 10mm. Will get some grade 12.7 M10 bolts and machine up some spacers for the guibo. So I got bored and took the Jatco to bits, f**king rough looking weld on the torque converter. Heaps of cool bits inside though, might see about turning it into a coffee table or something.

FYI - being NZ new, it has no emmisions gear from the factory, so so cats, and still on it's complete original exhaust! The stock exhaust makes a nice noise too! Throaty, without being annoying. I just happened to be walking out of an admin building at the hospital where I work, talking to my boss about Dads car. As we walked out the door, I turned to him and said I could hear it He laughed, and I pointed out to the main road, just as Dad came into view after pulling out of the main gate My Boss just about pissed himself laughing, that I knew it by sound, even in such a busy place The interior is actually pretty amazing, the leather on the gear knob is poked, but it's the original factory illuminated one, so we've left it The seats themselves had skeepskins on it's entire life, so they're basically like new.. If someone a bit dodgy showed up, they probably wouldn't get very far I think if someone does buy it to pimp a bit, it'll probably be well done. Trademe is often full of shitter 325i's that've already been half wrecked, that "those" kinds of people tend to buy, as they're so much cheaper. For a reason Hopefully Bruce (ashmill) is still interested

Haha I'm thinking so!So today was another day of playing bmws in the scortching south island heat. Touring2.0 got a centre arm rest installed this morning followed by an upgrade of the basic 8 button Obc for a 18 button. Was pretty straight forward as I remembered it, but had to run a new cable out to the temp sensor since it didn't have one before. All works well apart from the range feature, but is always inaccurate so doesn't really bother me. Also went to fit a tech2 m sport wheel while it was off but it's a non airbag one and couldn't be bother messing around with it so jus the standard sport one went back on. And pics after lows fitted. Still need to sort my other wheels out for it to, ether the acs rensports or the Mcoupe roadstars

Hahahaha Kulgan I'd like to do the same if I don't sell it. You have no idea around here, they would cut the springs, stick that horrible cheap tint on probably compete with air bubbles, throw some 90's reject chrome wheels on it that not even a holden owner would think of using. I seen it happen to a tidy old Merc. I'd probably go a step further than you and fit a RAID steering wheel like the early lambos. I've had this pic saved for a while now. Not that there is any need to modify it, a very nice car as is.

i hated my 3.46 in my converted 323i, 1st was too short, and 3k rpm at 100kph sucked hard on the open road.
