Agree. They're intended to document the car and it's state. Subtle editing to make the image look good, but nothing that disguises that state of the car like that 325i e90. Documentary. Here's a worked example: Volvo 855-T5 for sale aka "Does my ass look big in this". Please view large - and if you're viewing on mobile device, please say so when commenting. Now, I've pushed the envelope a bit here; there's negative space to draw the eye, I've played a little with our old friend the rule of thirds, I've used a wide angle lens to accentuate the curves of what most think is a box. The exaggerated perspective should make the viewer wonder "wow, that really will swallow a wardrobe whole", whilst conveying an honest view of a 20 year old wagon for sale. Brown towball, scuff on bumper corner, but clean and loved. It has been edited - a seemless vignette, some adjustment to the blacks, whites, lowered highlights, minor increase saturation, and clarity, and brought up the shadows to light the boot area I've *not* retouched anything to disguise the state of the car. And very obviously, I've whipped out the plate for the purposes of this demo. Your thoughts appreciated. Is this a good looking, honest, sale image? It's one of a series of twenty that includes under-bonnet, boot, 7 seat, and interior shots. PS: buy my volvo. PPS: D7000, AF Nikkor 12-24 f4, 12mm 1/60 f11 ISO125. I'd not used this camera body before.

Interesting, should have an Alpina VIN plate though, my questions should prompt that to be uploaded or a defensive slurry. this has to be the cheapest Alpina ever if genuine.

I thought the album was Faith? The one following Seventeen Seconds? I scored my copy for 99c at Woolworths in 1981, they'd decided selling Vinyl wasn't working for them and none of their clientele were hip enough to buy The Cure. I couldn't believe my luck. It still sounds fabulous today. Okay then, best we start a middle-aged blokes indie and alt music thread. EDIT: tee hee hee, I just did!

Do we all pitch in make it a bimmersport club car/loan car, take it to track days. "Bimmer Sport Forum Members In a Reasonably Priced E39 Motorsport." Have a lap board and all like Top Gear, old top gear; we shan't speak of that Chris Evans/Joey from friends monstrosity... should have got Leno.

mirror time. Baby approves. chopped up the old stock E82 ready for 3D scanning Motorsport mirrors, both weighed 147grams each. Stock mirror is 1200g each. Left glass fits nicely, right side is very motorsport, needs some glass sanded back to fit nicely. Damn rain, stopping play outside.

Some good advice by Olaf, remember you can still speak while recording as notes for your voiceover, but if you make any vocal mistakes you won't need to worry, can fix in post, overlay the HiQuality audio, keep anything spontaneous and funny for B reel or bloopers, I've thought about somthing similar with a curse cut at the end, every swear word spoken cut and spliced and played alphabetically, it'd crack me up anyway, and kept separate from main vlogs means you won't get those videos flagged and rendered NSFW.

Speaking of lazy. I saw this car for sale, and thought, what does this say about the current owner.... At least its a decent resolution and honest.

Constructive criticism: Consider making a shot list and storyboard the things you want to talk about. Then film them, without the monologue. Record your voiceover using a vocal mic with pop filter, or a lavalier mic. Edit your audio in Audacity or similar. Then put it all together in iMovie or your preferred editing suite. If you really get in to voiceover, you can build a vocal booth out of cardboard and foam. Taking this approach tightens up your vlog, focusses on your messaging, avoids the wandering voice, and protects people from listening to your runny nose sniffs! Be relaxed in a comfortable space when you do your voiceovers, you'll not be distracted by operating the camera and moving around. Your audience will tune in to your message as your interest and passion will come through in your vocal, telling the story. I like the background music; consider using different tracks so it's not one repetitive loop through the whole clip. I loved your cutaways to action shots to illustrate and reinforce what you're talking about. keep it up, man! I'll now edit in some links. PS - I liked your intro graphics with the handprints. How do you do that?

for me this is a good thing. The fact that they have put some effort into the pictures makes me think they are proud of that car.I would like to think the car itself reflects that pride in its service history and overall presentation. If all the seller has i a quick snap from a phone it gives me pause to even consider it further

I don't agree with this, as it hides the reality of how a car looks in person. Might fool some people, bud I'd rather see large raw pictures of the car to make a judgement if it's worth looking at or not.

Thanks, I thought it was well priced and should sell but perhaps winter isn't the best time.

I also forgot to mention guru Fabian from Coombes J BMW for kindly lending us a couple of tools to get the job done... Thanks very much... Over the last few days did some more cleaning and painting of exhaust brackets etc and also changed out the timing chain tensioner, plus a few more clear coat scratches removed down the passengers side...
