Hi, if you're just replacing the belt it's fairly straight foward. It's easiest to remove the fan shroud and fan first, remember fan is anticlock thread. 30mm? remove the distributor cover, and rotor, 3 x 8mm bolts, 3 x 3mm allen keys losen the alternator belt and remove fan pulley, 4 x 10mm bolts remove bottom pulley from front of crank, 6 x 13mm bolts remove top then bottom front covers, 9 x 10mm bolts losen cam tensioner, 13 mm nut remove old belt, fit new belt without moving cam or crank, tension belt till you can twist it 90 degrees with your fingers on the tensioner side, and then tighten the tensioner, Replace is reverse. You may want to replace the water pump while you have the front off? Easy eh, just done one today. Actually had to do the whole headgasket bit as well, but it's going again.

Keep it under 2.0l, and single turbo and you can run SS2000 class. There's one there already.

Ollie, thought this was spares for the racecar? You will need the panels as soon as you sell them, Murphy's law. You should chuck them in a corner somewhere, that way you know you'll never need them.

Regular servicing, don't overheat, and they'll serve you well.

Bottlecaps should be 14's for the E30, worth around $80 to $100 if you can find a buyer, seen them sit on Tme for weeks and not go at $50 and less tho. Weaves, if in good cond may still go for up to $600, but demand's not so high now the race boys have got some options, they may be on their way down a bit I think, maybe to around the $400 to $500 mark?

If it's a standard BMW colour then you should be able to pick a good one up for under $150. Then it's just unbolt the old and bolt on the new. Even for someone with no skills it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.
