Is the reg lapsed or is it dereged? If dereged you don't have to do anything, if lapsed you are liable for unpaid reg to date of sale and need to do a change of ownership.

Yes, it lives. Had the wrong bloody crank sensor wheel on it again, too many floating around. Time for a bit of finishing and off for a tune.

I pm'd you back Bruce, so not going back to you, I got yours. They are just the LSD centre, you need to fit your ring gear to the LSD centre and refit.

Flares were $100, so as you say, Racecar. M54B30 under the bonnet, vanos locked, M50B25 non-vanos inlet cam on the exhaust side, M50b25 inlet manifold, going to have M3 headers, should get about 250rwhp I'm hoping, with a Gavin tune.

The new drive for this season, just got to get it running and tuned now.

The car will be on display along with other series cars next weekend at the Speedshow at Ellerslie showgrounds.

My race car runs the E28 M30. Last dyno was at Gavins after a remap, and came up at 218rwhp. It has had the cam reground at Franklin Cams, no other mods. I had the head flowed, came back around 280hp, if I remember rightly. Obviously turbo if you want best bang for buck, hope to get mine back on the track in a couple of years with this setup.

Yeah, Darren's got one for the same, might be a good investment.

It doesn't see 3500 revs where it goes.... The changes to this engine where done for a lot of reasons, main one being cost and putting it in an E30 which is what it was in. By putting it on a full M50 loom ecu etc, we got away from OBD2, EWS and all those sensor gremlins. By doing the vanos delete myself, and realising it would live in the 4500 to 6500 rev range, there was no real advantage in keeping it. The little bit more top end was just a bonus really.

No MAF either, nothing between the filter and the throttle body.
