It's a manual, and has been remapped obviously as well. True figures on a reliable, reputable dyno, Gavins at Hi velocity, he did the remap as well. Engines going in this for next season, with a M50 inlet cam on the exhaust side, should be around 235hp I hope, will post when done.

simplest way to use the M54B30 is to do what we've done with the race car and swap it straight in. Use a non-vanos M50B25 loom and ECU and run it as a non vanos engine with the cams locked. You could have it running in no time with no hickups. Downside is that you lose all the modern additions to the engine, upside is that it is uncomplicated and you can end up with 220 to 250 RWHP depending on what you do. Also in Waiuku if you're interested in a look.

No, twin vanos is completely different.

Finally got around to taking these apart. All bits for sale, the E28 is M20B20 ljet, early engine, complete with full loom and ECU, on trademe for $250 buynow, will sell for $200, come and take it away. Rest of E28 can go for $150, lots of free rust,. E32 is less motor and box but rest of car can go for $200, leather interior, diff etc in place still. Going to scrappy if no one wants. ps. both have reg on hold.

E39 got new rocker cover gaskets and an oil change today, E28 just got the engine back in it for Taupo, E30 has the auto box out for a refurb, blown front seal, E46 waiting on it's engine, E36 waiting on it's engine too, but has E46 front end now, with adjustable Billies.

Already got 2 on the lawn....
