Where abouts are you from ??
-
I would go for a 3.15:1 ratio... I've just done it

Its possible that the crankshaft position sensor has now failed and its gone into limp mode still. This quite often happens. Fix one sensor and another fails. Thats why we store all fault codes on a PDF file for proof of engine fault diagnosis. She will still need it scanned again. Hope for her sake its not the transmission. Did they fit a new sensor or 2nd hand ?? and did they clear the fault codes & adaptions ??

I thought you might like it Chris...and yes its a completely different car to drive now in many respects. The manual of course, loss off weight, flexibility in the torque range and the acceloration difference is amazing.... sounds good to with the new exhaust system
-
It may have gone into limp mode...due to the fact that the camshaft position sensor is faulty...or have you had that fixed yet ?
-

Use this to work out what ratio you want. Use 6th gear for your final ratio when working it out on a 5 speed http://www.unixnerd.demon.co.uk/revs.html
-
At the end of the day, you might only have to do a front spring change...wait till youve got the new motor in and then decide
-
Rears will be OK ...just wait till youve got it in and up and running
-
Youll need at least a 3.64 or taller depending on what your going to use it for
-
It might work... but do the job properly ? No
-
What ratio is your present diff ?? A 4 cylinder is lighter than the 6 and the front suspension will be lower and will react differently to the 4
-
You will need to change the diff as well... I have a very good 3.64:1 ratio one here. Its an open diff not LSD $250
-
No problem.... were doing the same here
-
Personaly... I'd say don't... buy the right wheels instead
-
As Simon says.... for some reason 3 digits wont work... never has
-
Rear fog lights are not a WOF requirement here in NZ... some people have wired them up as extra brake lights ... which is quite legal... your allowed 4 + a high stop
-
Thers quite a few of us members in that area....Papakura & Drury
