Use ATF G3 full synthetic in that gearbox
  3. I just want to get rid of the orange indicator lenses in the front. I have clear/smoked German side markers . I'm also doing the rear lenses, total red, no orange, the same as Will did on his touring. I have spare lenses and I'll do that tomorrow. You get the glass paint from Mitre 10 Mega stores.

    e46 trouble

The small control unit under the seat can also give problems and the wiring loom going back to the SRS control unit. Stuffing sh*t under the seats can also dislodge the wiring plugs from the control unit. Sports seats are the hardest to fit sensor matts to and E39 full electric leather seats. You also need new "ogg" rings a special "ogg" ring pliers to replace these. The E36 sport seats now have a modified sensor matt and the cushion base has to be replaced for this supercession as well.
  7. Do the sump as well, dont use the cork gaskets they now supply. Clean block & sump with white spirits and use grey Eurothane sealant ( Panelbeating Supplies) Ring me for more info Ph.(09)2722546 Do not use sylicon Cheers Glenn
  8. Hope you have a great day mate From Glenn & the Team at Botany Motor Worx
  9. I'm after 2 facelift clear/smoked front indicator lamps. Not orange/smoked. Also a mint drivers side underdash panel that doesnt have the headlight dipping switch in it and also a mint centre console panel that has no holes for electric window switches in it. Please note...... I said "MINT" Cheers Glenn
  10. I can possibly do a new one cheaper than BMW, give me a call.
  11. Possibly the Disa valve in the manifold
  12. I've checked all these out too......be a bit more adventurous Dave.... try something different....lol They all seem to just follow each other....makes it all easy I spose I couldnt find anyone on these sites that have done the brake set up that I'm going to use though Cheers Glenn
  13. Not meaning to be a put down here, but I just cant get the grip with all off this. Some of you guys want to "slab" your cars and now we've got a thread on "polling" a car Surely, the handling of a motor vehicle would be a priority with most of us in here. Too low, and your restricted and too high poses other extreme problems. Cant imagine going round corners at more than 30kph (if your lucky) with something like that. I know that this is all personal taste, but really, why would you want to do this ?? Total waste of money & time if you ask me. Its probably not really appropriate for a BMW forum either. You'd be absolutely mad to try doing it to a BMW and I know thats not what your thinking of doing. I would think that after you cost it all (do the maths) you'll decide to do something else that might make you look good and get the attention you are seeking. Try doing something really different with your BMW ( safe & legal tho ) and more appropriate for this forum. Just my 2 cents worth Glenn

Not meaning to highjack here... but thought I would just drop this in while were on the subject. This is basically the system I'm going to run on the project car. 6 X 40mm Yamaha R1 bike carbs on short straight runners. Some interesting set ups on this site and the guys are really helpfull. http://www.boggbros.co.uk/gallery4.html BTW thats bloody nice work. You've put a hell of alot of work into that....its all great fun tho Looks like you have really planned out your build (as you should) and done the research & maths I see in the first lot of pictures the motor had the distributor drive on it, and it seems to be missing off the second lot of pictures...bit hard to see. Did you use the M10 front cover ?? I take it your also using a 635 CSI motor for your build. Which is what I'm trying to find. Cheers Glenn
  15. Add some weight...do a lead mould underneath the rear seat, forward of the axle .
  16. Its not visably leaking though
  17. Thanks, cause I'll probably need them as well on the project car
  18. Could also be a leaking heater matrix
  19. I take it IE= Ireland Engineering ?? is it their kits that slip out of adjustment ??
  20. All that work, and no provision for an air filter ....poor turbo
