Hi Guys I know of a shell of a old bmw 2002, what sort of price would people reakon it would be worth paying for i have plans for the motor, but wunder what people would pay for a bare shell, and maybe parts if they had them, as its kinda depressing cause there is one down the road from my parents bach just sitting outside for last few years. i know the guy wanted to work on it but common hes done nothing, so what sort of price would be worth paying.
  2. Sounds good - well i figure ill need to upgrade them then with some new lights argh - more money into the e28 but least ill have some spare parts laying around - seen my spares got taken away when i got rid of the 525e

Hi Guys I was trying to go out driving last night to test my lights out either i need to put some washers under the bottom of the lights to lift them up, or the lights are getting dull what is the best replacements that you know of to put in, i would be keen for angel eyes but i dont know if the e30 or e32 replacments could be mounted without someone noticing to much. or does someone have a good fix to increase brightness - i mean they would pass a wof im sure but i could bearly see driving down the road even with the fog lights on. shame on me

Hi Guys I am wanting a complete e28 shifter and rod, currently have a 3 series one in there and its got a sort shift but to hard to get into reverse and 5th next i need the piping between the airflow meter and air filter, i have the e32 airflow meter and e28 air filter, so think the e28 535 one will fit. and just wanting to know if anyone has a price for angel eyes for a e28 or is someone willing to make some. Hi Guys Some people have said that there are advantages in upgrading from a steering box - to the rack and pinion setup of the e30/e36 i was wundering what sort of gains or loses would come from this, and big question would this give me more space saftley for my downpiping etc for the turbo. cause trying to drive a tank with less than power steetring could be hard. Hi Guys Just wanting to know where people got there big brake kits from i know ages ago and had a search for a BMW only Brake website that a few people have got sets off cant remember the website So basically just wanting links for direction on how big and how many calipers etc Its for the e28 so i know its limited thats why i sure there is a few great places and would like to hear what people have found out about there rides witht the big kits on

Thanks Guys For all the info managed to find some part numbers for either the e9 88.4 or the 90mm crank from the s38 and you are looking if you could actually find a place selling them around 1600usd for e9 crank or 2200 90mm crank so really just going with the 86mm crank will properly have to do for the time being might ring bmw if i get a chance and see if they can even supply them cause when you check google etc lots of people have seem to have done it. anyways im sure ill be back to hassle again once i get closer to the time and place of actually, just have to stop getting excited and nearly breaking it everytime i see it which is like once a month or less again

Hi Guys with Some ivestigation i have found that if you Put an you guys are right i would love to be able to get the crank from a s38b38 very unlikly seems lots of people have done it have no idea where they got the parts so you can go with Martys one - but i think the 88.4mm crank from a e23 733i might be easier to find lolz so with boring it out to 95mm - avg 3758.01cc to do it all right i would need to do some calculations eg. spec changing piston ratio's lolz just seeing the power i can get that is safe and massive lolz as we try to do cheap, powerful, reliable
  9. I Would check the wiring on the sensor and make sure its working mine completly stoped working, and after testing the wire's were screwed and the sensor was playing up

Hi Guys Point me in the direction if its in this forum somewhere couldn't find it. was thinking of stroking the b35 out abit more when i do the rebuild does anyone know whats needed , will be getting custom pistions low compression havnt decided on what rods either m5 155mm long or the standard 145mm long im proberly off with the messurements, I know that if you put another crank off the e21 3.3ltr i think im sure people will put me right. let me know the options and i can do the calculations towards the project, i know people will say flag strocking it if you are putting a turbo but during a rebuild i figure its just as cheap to replace the parts lolz

I Agree depending on what your donor motor is swap it with trans attached makes it alot easier just watch out for damage from your sump when putting it in bent my lip on my engine bay, i was fine to i got it most of the way in and had to jimmy it the rest of the way next time i will be carefully doing it as it will be worth alot more dough lolz. have fun and dont worry easy as pie

Hi All A few parts away from having a WOF'd car hopefully get away with the 3.5 without re-certing i really just want a geustimate on replacing a few parts to make it look good 2 front doors - mine have rust on bottm (might just bog up) piping from AFM to air intake for 535. new relays - lights etc, Suspension Brushes prob whole lot (if anyone has a geustimate) Engine mount - i belive about $150 for the metal part as i put a e32 m30b35 into the e28
  14. ive got wiring diagrams etc if any needed and what is said above sounds about right the doors have just rusted on mine, boot seals and wiring in back lights my major issues p.s if you ever take the head off dont put the cam sprocket on wrong - look at one of my old forums makes a nice boom when i blows up. but they are good cars and will destory jap imports literaly - done it x3 and all i have to repalce is my bumber
  15. Thanks mate - ill have to check that out cause im running a vaccum setup on the otherside of the car but sort of sounds like what was happening my clutch seal is leaking but thats due to heat lolz

Hi Guys I upgraded my front breaks to 60mm 1 piston calipers with new pad's and rotors, i have being weary not to drive it to hard cuase at the moment i notice my brake pedal doesnt come all the way back up and the front breaks lockup given no abs and seem to shudder if i try drive down the road i have a funny feeling they just need wearing in - does anyone know how to do this so i can try driftn and going slightly faster without having to pull my pedal up after i break and not spin my noise due to the 3.5 m30 engine

Hi All as you know i have a e28 which wont get into after putting new petrol she started misfiring again after running fine arghh... well anyway i have noticed that alot of places seem to have e34 parts but not really e28 parts my main question is do i just get a e34 shell and put my m30 engine in (dont really like the shape even tho not much diff) or can i fit most e34 parts into the e28 without to many hassles thanks for any posts

Thanks silver fox Ive had a look at that but looks like i may have missed the 2 wires that are for the coolant and tach so ill try go sort that out, but any idea's on why puting the aftermarket gauge on would cause the car to stop running after about a minute seems to cut the fuel injection cheers

Hi Guys Im soooo excited the m30b35 conversion is finally working, was a stuck ISCV i believe after cleaning some petrol and it actually going now ,also put bigger blaster coil on well just looks bigger same one, think i was using the one off my alfa even tho it had good spark... neways back to my prob both my tacho and collant gauge dont work, i bypassed tacho with a wire from blaster coil so i can test it. does anyone know where the e28 wires are sposed to be wired to on the e32 ecu wiring haness, as i followed the e28 ones and they dissapair down the floor somewhere... my major issue is that i have a aftermarket coolant gauge and if i wire that or the coolant gauge just with a wire from the coolant sensor - as per e28 car dies (motronic 1.3) killing my fuel injection i think. my only option at the moment is just putting a spare coolant sender in one of the spare plugs and wiring it up... any help would be appreciated at least then itl be road legalish, Think a new shell b4 the upgrades. and thank you all for the help over this year

That is so awsome - love the V8 and with Chev power you can go far and wide man it sux living in welly and all these e28's getting modded and mines sitting in a garage not wanting to go lolz jap cars are so cheap to mod but not the fun of having german steel (ive destroyed a few japs with my e28) and she still lives

Hi Mate i chucked a post about this earlier on heres a great link about RWD conversions for these space wise easy would say that alll that will really cost is the mounting for the engine and some weilding lolz i worked out for 5k could have it certed and in really whatever car i wanted if you have the engine and done a clean up here thes link - if you want a engine could supply as fixing one at the moment http://www.projectzerog.com/ - helped heaps

  23. Hi Guys have just got a quick quote from some guys in aus for parts on the m30 all parts are 7075 t6 aircraft aluminuim all up 5k nz for H beam rods - au1200 rocker arms - 1826 rocker locks - 120 arp head studs - 450 what do you think of the prices verus what you can get from the states

Hi All How safe is it to run my car on as little sensors as possible i seem to be able to start my car and run it, without the AFM or Cold start valve , also coolant but intermittant i need to give it slight acceleration around 700-100 rpm which after reading would be about right. i have checked my wireing - i know my sensors supposdly work after testing, going to check again and i did what brent said and checked the coolant wires but only 1 is wired in the one that goes to the ecu couldnt even get it to start till the sensors were off this w.e now is this safe to run the car on this eg. if i wanted to go for a quick drive to give the car running time and maybe take it in to get checked may not be worth it as - my evo engine is going to cost me $450 4 a frekin head gasket lolz was think just buying a link and hope it tells me what is wrong but hay, might give up but i just cant let go off 3 years of pissing round also if anyone wants a 2.8l block getting abit rusty and cylinder head (screwed can get pics) let me know Should i get a Mass AFM for putting on for the turbo seen ireland engineer have one for the m30 setup
