Its not often you can say this about an Aussie, but the man was a legend. Ill never forget the first time I saw him race. It was a few years ago now at Bathurst and the rains came down. Everyone pitted for rain tyres and he came in and insisted on slicks. The rest of the race was some of the most incredible driving I have ever seen. I never knew that 05 was in support of the drink driving laws ovevr there. Just goes to show that he always had a greater message to spread than just racing.

In my opinion anyone who puts a link up to it on this site should be banned. People should not only respect the families wishes but show some respect to Steve Irwin himself. I can see no reason why anyone would want to see footage of someone dying. The footage tonight of Brockie's death was almost as bad. You could quite clearly see from the wreckage how he died and it was something that didnt need to be shown.

Errr I dont see any pictures.Am I missing something ?

Liquid leather is the NUTS ! Get it and get on with it, you will not regret it. I think Gus had some trouble with it but that was because his seats had been sprayed. If you have the original seats, it will work wonders. Give it time though, the seats in my 750 were shocking, hard, shiney, cracked and discoloured, but after 4 treatments of liquid leather cleaner and conditioner and a couple of dabs with the shoe polish (to fill in the major cracks) they were like excellent. It took 3 months but the end product was worth it. Ive seen lots of 7's with recoloured, retrimmed, reconditioned leather and I would say there isnt anything you cant do anymore, aslong as your prepared to pay for it !

stz is right, check the stalk first, they reglarly break the connections on the e32's

Ive been talking to the guys at Paradise about this and its all over work (Telecom) as well. Neither can explain why the sudden increase but both are supposed 'working' on it. Ive gone from no spam in 12 months with Paradise to a dozen emails a day and your right....its annoying.

Thats what I mean, the 17' style 5's were a factory option over the 15' standard cross-spokes.
-
I dont think the style 5's came as factory on all 5's and 7's. The e34's and e32 's certainly had a cross-spoke wheel as standard but it wasnt the style 5's which has a much bigger dish than the standard wheels. The style 5's are also 17' rather than the 15' that was on the 5 and 7.

Your right, I was assuming he was at work when on Bimmersport....my bad.

When e39 M5's struggle to sell for 50K I think he's having a laugh.

Oh come on man, dont be so naive.Companies the size of Mitre10 will be tracking ALL employees internet usage and email. I would be VERY surprised if someone on here grassed you up unless they had an interest in what you were doing. I have no doubt you did it in good faith but offering a staff discount on a forum with over 1200 members which is accesible all over the world was just stupid. Take it on the chin and learn a valuable lesson. Membership to Bimmersport is not limited to BMW owners either....hell we even have the odd Honda owner

I wouldnt expect you to do any different Neal, if youve had great service then Im pleased for you. There is nothing more important than finding a mechanic that you can trust. As for a couple of the guys working for Shelley's in the past, that doesnt surprise me. I think Ive dealt with at least three different places around Wellington that have all had people who used to work there ! I think we could discuss this all day. Youve have had great experiences with them, Ive had shocking experiences with them. Lets leave it at that shall we As I said before though. Im more than willing to discuss my experiences with Michael should he wish, as Im sure are the BMWCC Wellington boys (Carl and Paul) who would dearly love Shelley's to be more open to the club.
-
So if the ICV sits at the front and you can pick it off and clean it what am I thinking of thats at the back of the engine and is a b!tch to get to ? I thought that was the PCV ?
-
Neal, Im pleased that you feel strong enough to say youve gotten excellent service, but Im not going to stop complaing about the absolute rubbish that I and plenty of others have had to put up with.

What does this mean for the springs and shocks my friend ? I take it your just rabbiting on about the engine

Wow, Shelley's on Bimmersport, who'd have thought Welcome Michael, if your interested on finding out more on our experiences with Shelleys I suggest you do a search on these forums. Be prepared for more disappointment though. It would be fantastic for this relationship to change so I welcome anything you can bring to the discussion and Id be more than happy to discuss my experiences by email. Feel free to PM me. Carl's post hit the nail on the head. Whilst Shelleys have always palmed off the BMWCC (and many members of Bimmersport), Jeff Grays hospitality was simply exceptional and I would have no hesitation in having them perform work or supply parts should I need a dealers services.

Page European3828218 Speak to Vijay or Bho Best BMW place in Wellington, I think most of us Wellingtonians go there.

Make sure they only do the wof or oil change too.I twice went to Shelley's to have minor work done (one being an oil change) and on both ocassions they did work I didnt ask them to do and refused to give me the keys until I had paid in full. Besides now I come to think of it I paid 45 the other week at Page's anyway so where's the saving ? [edit] and my last oil change at Page's was only 125 bucks and my V8 uses buckets of the stuff !

Hmmm Im not sure thats the fault Cain. Happy to be proven wrong but I had that last year and what happened for me was that the engine would simply stall when idling not 'lurge'.The biggest sign is the smoke pouring out of the exhaust when you start the car ! The fault given by the decoders for the PCV can often be mis-diagnosed because its a 'generic' code on most cars but not on the M62. I cant remember the details of the fault unfortunately.....it will come to me....but not tonight ! Im also not sure how you 'clean' the PCV ? After all you have to take half the engine apart to get to it and even then you can only find out if its damaged by smashing it to bits to get at the filter in the middle. Its the filter that fails and sometimes its a simple as the outer edge has worn. As you dont get any trouble when driving Jochen Id rule out the cats, that also causes a misfire but you'd notice that believe me ! I find it strange everyone tells you you wouldnt notice a single cylinder misfiring. The M62 is such a smooth engine I wouldve thought it would be obvious. Not much help Im sorry but as with alot of things on these engines you have to start at one point and work your way through
