UK EbayGet yourself on here and check out Ultimate Lighting. They currently have fronts going for 12 quid and sides for 15. Ive just had some fronts posted for 8 quid and you will get all of yours in one of those boxes. So for around 30 quid tops you could have the four lights and at todays rates thats about 76 dollars. Cant believe Im telling you guys this rather than bringing them over and flogging them myself ! Ive just had delivered clear front and sides for my e38 and it was around 120 all up because the fronts for mine are twice the price as yours. Carl, believe me the aesthetics are well worth it. Will get some pics of mine up soon. Put the fronts on last night in the storm I was so keen to get them on !

There is no such thing as an E38 M7. There were some manual 735's done though. The Transporter movie had one. I know of a guy in the states who is building one. What he has done is cut an M5 skirt (font and rear) in half and stucdk the center piece of another M5 skirt in the middle to make it wide enough. I hear there are rumours to build an E65 M7 though.

hehe, I hadnt noticed that Kees had slipped himself into the first photo ! Yes Carl, from Shelly's even had them call this morning to say they have the clips. The interesting thing was that for an oil service they are actually cheaper than Page European. I was quite surprised about that, so she will be going in there next week to get that sorted. Got emails last night from Germany and the UK to say my clear fronts and sides are on the way from each Ebay seller. Ill be hanging around the letter box like a kid next week !

Went into Repco to get some silvertec bulbs (or whatever theyre called over here) the ones that are silver but flash orange and the guy wanted 20 bucks for ones that still looked orange, so I bought a small stick of retouch paint and painted them instead. Havent got any shots of them without the orange bulbs showing through yet but here's a close up. Rather nice I think.

So there I was with an hour or two this morning spare, so I trot off to the dealer to ask how much an oil service is for the beast. Whilst there I remember about some clips I need to I get those sorted at the parts counter and ask them how much the clear lenses are. Ive been in there several times and they have been as much as 1200 for the fronts, side and rears so I was only wanting to confirm that I should be getting them off ebay and not the dealer. To my surprise they had a set in stock and although the fronts where for 98 onwards and wont fit mine, the rears where only 350 dollars. I immeidately questioned whether I should ask if that was for one or both for fear that he would notice he'd made a mistake but no it was for both. So knowing the cheapest I can get them off the web for is around 300 I snapped his arm off before there was any mistake and I am now a proud owner of these. Here's the before shot....

There should be no reason why a dealer cant give you the information as long as you have your chassis number. There are keys for sale on the uk ebay every now and then and they are well worth picking up. The BMW one will open and close the windows if you keep the button pressed when locking/unlocking. I had an aftermarket one on the 750 which triggered them to close when locked without having to hold the button. Is your sensor RF Paul ? If so you can close everything up without having to point to anything

Looks fantastic but for me given the stipes a nice set of schnitzers would be the biz.

Gorgeous little cars, great fun to drive, you could do much worse. I went out to buy one of these a few years ago and came back with my 750iL. To say the wife was surprised was an under statement :drugs:

Why 7 series (e38) needed a standard rear spoiler
martyyn replied to E30stz's topic in General Discussion
Yeah its a gorgeous stretch of road. Tree lined on both sides, relatively narrow, its a 50 limit but you often have people racing down it.In parts its a 70mph limit and with the trees so close to the road you really feel like your donig 100. Obviously this bloke was doing 100 ! Have two mates in the area in burgundy e38's have sent a couple of hasty emails out to make sure its not one of them ! -
Ive sent you a PM mate.Cheers Martyn

I left my 29' Panasonic 100Mhz Widescreen in England....kicking myself now of course, but that was possibly the best tv Ive ever watched. The problem is that over here you only seem to be able to get widescreens in 32' and they are fcuking huge. Not the screen but the depth of the thing is massive, it takes half the room. We want to have it as unobtrusive as possible, so the viewing pleasure will be a toss up between a dirty great plasma on the wall or a projector that can be hidden in the ceiling when were not watching it.

Well seeing as everyone is telling me to not bother with an all in one. I may well just go for a dvd player right now and hold off for a while. My wife is coming around to the idea of waiting and getting a prpoer system so perhaps Ill be spending up large sooner than I think :bounce: Thanks for the help guys, guess Im on the look out for a dvd player now ! Still need some speakers and a cd player though, have wires in the kitchen that I want to hook up for music ! Brent, Ill be in touch when Im buying the components though, thanks for the offer. Can you give me a rough idea of what you would recommend and how much Id be looking at. Probably like asking how long a piece of string is I know. I wouldnt be looking for a system to blow the socks off everyone but it would have to be something seious. If you were to consider the 7 series for example where the 750iL is king, Id be looking for a 740. Almost all the performance without the initial cost !

That was the first thing I considered but I just dont have an inclination to play console games I have a force feedback wheel and pedals for my laptop and the games I can play on this kick a PS2 all down the street. Sony has always been overpriced to me and Ive not had much luck in the past with walkmans/discmans etc. They have never lasted more than a year. Ill check them out anyway just to get a feel.

Let me explain some more.In a short while (as in next week) I will start earning some stupid money. They are willing to pay so who am I to refuse ? Anyway, it will still be 6-8 months before Ive paid a few debts and sorted a few things out with the house etc, so for now my intention is to simply get an 'out of the box' system that will do most things half decently for the next 12 months. After that I will be looking for either a whacking great plasma or projector and going the whole hog with seperate components etc. For the moment Im thinking of this.... Panasonic HT878 Thanks for the comments so far guys....keep them coming.

I thinking about buying a small home theatre system and wondered if anyone had any experience in this ? At the moment I just want something to last for a year or two, Ill be setting up the mother of all systems a little later but for now I need something to play the kids DVD's, watch some ourselves and play some music. We dont have a huge room, but its already wired up with some very serious looking wires. Id prefer satelite speakers to hang on the wall, but have plenty of space for speakers on stands if necessary. Price wise I can spend anything up to a grand but if the best thing is 500 then Ill buy that. All comments/recommendations welcome.

I think the passenger seat has a weight sensor in it that triggers the airbags if someone is in the seat.If you remove the seats the SRS computer will set the light on and I think its a dealer only job to reset it. Have a search on the web....google is your friend.
