If your insurance is paying then go to whoever the dealers use and never ever be happy with anything but perfection.I took the 7 back three times to get it right and even that was with the BMW recommended people. I wouldve thought it was the infrared for your alarm, but I dont remember seeing one with markings on it In the older cars when the 'knob' was in the dash you could have it either up or down. One would automatically close the windows when you locked the car with the remote, the other didnt...is that it ? I assume you have to point your key at it when you lock the car ?

Sorry mate I cant help with a valuation on your car, but I wouldve thought a dealer wouldve been the best bet. However there is an e38 730iL on Trademe at the moment where the seller is advertising that he has a written valuation from the dealers saying the car is worth over 10k. The reality is that he will be lucky to get 6k, maybe even less as its been on at with no reserve with no takers. Valuations for insurance are tricky but one thing I learnt was that alot of insurance companies actually have 'bands' for their valuations. For example you will pay the same money for a car valued at 11k as 14k because they have a 10-15k 'band' So Ive always valued my cars at the top of the band and paid the same monthly amounts.

Oooooh what are they ? Any carrier should be able to do it. I got my Alpinas down here for 50 notes I seem to remember. The seller packed the up for me and stuck them on a pallet.

You do know that they are going to require spacers etc to fit on the e34 and that the front tyres are the wrong size for them eh ?
