Tow bar = Practical!! Not that any of our present cars have one - work ute for that
-
News to me that you can - is this official or one inspectors view?
-
For a start - what car are we talking?
-
Didn't see the airbag part - as Graeme said get it proffesionally checked on a scanner. Dealer or any good Auto sparky or garage should have a scanner to talk to it. Otherwise you are only guessing
-
With respect - these cars are muuuuch more complex the E36 & lesser cars & if you don't know what you are doing - can be a can of worms for the untrained. If unsure - best to get professional advise
-
Looks good Nick, but does it interfere with your elbow when gear changing? Some vehicles do & they are a pain in the a... - PR50 Nissan Terrano for one, if not too high - they are great though
-
Jochen has a software programme that he has written - PM him for details
-
You are probably panicking over nothing. First thing - check the bulb, if in doubt - call into an Auto Sparky to have checked - probably a 5 min job.
-
Nice photo shoot you have there - good on you
-
Leave the nav running. Goes from splash screen straight to nav. Starts from whatever it was last on
-
You could if you wanted (& could be bothered) wire the left hand one up to have both working - I did this on the Audi Quattro we used to own - easily done:-
-
Quite probably yes - with the right software programme. No doubt BMW can but I wouldn't bet on them obliging
-
Be bloody silly not to
-
They could test it on the brake machine at a specialised WOF station if they had the inclination. Don't think they would though. Having said that - when TV's in cars become common & if it becomes a common knowledge of this - they may start checking BMW switch TV by either speed - 5km/h or off handbrake or of course -niether
-
Car is probably only wired for R/H rear fog (right hand drive car) - marks the outside (centre) position of the car on the road. Conversely left hook cars have a fog light on left side. This was common practice in the earlier cars & still is in some new (VW beetle for one) -most late cars have one each side
-
Yes - it is - but not if it is not identified at the WOF inspection
-
Definitely not with these cars - wiring/programming in them is much more complex than that
-
I can do it for you, PM me if wish. Cheers Grant

Need to know the wheel width but I would assume that they are 8 inch (those alloys are the same wheel as mine) If so - then 235/40 18 is the correct one. If all rims are the same size - then yes - same tyres all round. From memory the M5 E39 had 8.5 inch rears & 255/35 18 tyres Check with Jonno (zeneti) on here -think they have a branch down your way
-
Timeless classic - have always aspired to own one (along with everything else of course)
-
