  1. This high up in the mountains at "The Eagles Nest "
  2. Get hold of Joe he is a sponsor here. eurosurgeon.co.nz Bit more than just a software update. About $1200 more just for fm and nav.. but worth it
  3. I was happy if a service was in at under 1200.
  4. Haha true. Sad fact was the 7 series probably had as much spent on it on claims as it was worth at the time!
  5. Back in 2003 or 4 I had an e38 that McMillan had to put a new cluster in (due to a short totally unrelated to the cluster in the end) it was close to 2k for that (mech warrentee) i did ask them to take some milage off...didn't go down well ☺
  6. We don't buy any of our cars to be fuel efficient. My wife has no idea how to drive conservatively. Foot to the floor all the time. The 530 would be 12L/100 regardless of how we drove it around town. Too many start stops in the city. It's big and heavy. Where as my 330i CS manual sits at around 9L/100 round town and 7 open road.
  7. The cup holders suck...waste of time. The SEDC are to stiffen the shocks if they still work. The last button is for the rear window blind.
  8. Maybe I wasn't clear when I said I owned both???..I might add they were back to back and I would still go with the 540..was far smoother than the 530. Better spec. And talking about smarter more fuel efficient car we are not . To the OP Plenty of e39's to choose from I would think. Go for gold and drive both. I'm sure you will choose what you feel is best for you.
  9. I have had both 2002 530i msport and 2002 540 msport, nz new the 540 was best buy far. Fuel was average 5L per 100 more around 18 perr 100 around town, didnt bother us, petrol cost what it cost but if you can not afford to pay the gas you don't buy the v8. The 530 was good but I would have the 540 I over it any day...edit: get one while petrol is still cheap ?
  10. If anyone is interested I will have my front grey leather electric sport seats for sale with rear 3 head rest rear seats to suit coupe soon when I strip the car
  11. Yep that's the place opposite countdown
  12. I didn't have too many issues with the autosol on the paint. Biggest issue was water ponding on the lips and staining it. I didn't want to spend anymore than I had to on the rims, after all it was a race car and clear coat is sooooo heavy! Also with a good size dish (these were staggered fitment) were prone to stones hitting them....easier to polish than pay to re-clear
  13. I used a place on Barry's point road, they actually machined the lips, the lips were rooted. Didn't clear it because it made them dull so used autosol to keep them
  14. I had them polished on the e34 m5 rims...looked great clean (with out the throwing stars)
  15. Those crazy french bastards!
  16. Even in Italy this is funny....not many 750il's here...must be rare here too, just like a sunny
  17. Cheers.Haha yeah they are casual as f**k there. Been a few years since being there. Two months away. Better Remermber how to drive on the wrong side again (sober)! My parents keep a car here which is a bonus...pity it's a Merc
  18. Just stopping here on the way to see my family in Croatia . Would go nuts driving with these lunatics!
  19. Haha not even the Citroën with air suspension could handle it!
  20. Well spotted, not the smoothest road either
  21. this in france and later on I heard something fantastic, turned my head and it was an i8
  22. Mine is a manual 2002 3.0 clubsport. Nz new currently insured for $16k...but open market would be lucky to get 11-12? God knows, I bought it to strip out and make into my new race car
  23. Take the disc out or stop driving over rail way crossings that aren't there
  24. Currently in the uk visiting the wifes family and in their little town about 4 different new M3's and 2 M235i's....seems all the neighbors have bmws except them with a brand new range rover v8 diesel
