Should add, will be stripping the engine bay and cutting all the un neccassary brackets off it, repainting it if I can be bothered. Also need a G260 Gbox. And any info on some better more badass injectors would be cool. Am going to send the current ones away for a flow test, would rather upgrade though. Any suggestions?

Update. Building an M20 2.8 stroker at the moment thanks to Ray. Have pulled a head off an e34 thanks to Mike at Synthe, and will be getting rebuilt tommorow hopefully. Have spent a sh*t tonne of money on replacing every single gasket/seal/bush so hopefully this motor will be bullet proof. Anywho, made me a ghetto surge tank, should be good for atleast 2 litres which should be plenty, started wiring up the lifter pump and then ran out of crimps so ditched. Got a little side tracked so decided i would fit me a NACA duct. Did so, looked cool, wasted about half an hour of time I should have spent on other more important things, I will run 3 inch ducting to the driver's seat... it is just way too hot! I also measured up fuel lines and have started ordering AN fittings to get the drop tank and surge tank all working. Don't have any pics of them, battery went flat. I then had a play with the throttle body on the M20. It looks pretty damn restrictive, is there anything else that will fit it? Was looking into boring it out a bit with a bigger butterfly or similar, a bolt on option would be better though. Had a quick play with the new E36 radiator, looks like it should pretty much go straight in, might need to fab a few brackets up but nothing major. Looks the bees knees though!

I'm doine a 2.8 right now, same set up as sams. E39 2.8 crank etc. Will run ITB's. If you are worried on what they will cost on gas, you will not be able to run it. But atleast 3k to do it good and proper.

Not really a huge fan, but a serious question. How do they turn? IE what are the axles like? Universals or?

Pretty difficult to do it with the manifold on. You need to wrap it pretty damn tight. Make sure you do it wet, and wear gloves.
