Thanks Ashkan for the effort, pity it is the wrong one. Will try to catch up next time I get to Dorkland So still looking for one
-
Need a good rust free one (particularly inside!). Dont need the pump and senders. These normally found in a facelift 320/325, 318 normally has the smaller 55l tank. Phone/text me on 0276699311, dont PM me as I never come on here. Prefer Auckland-Northland supplier for collection unless you can get the tank to auckland. (Couriers dont want to transport fuel tanks). No fancy ridiculous prices also, Ray wanted $80 for one but couldnt help me unfortunately... Will

CRAP! If you take this advice you are a fool! This bloke always opens his mouth to change feet. PM me and I will tell you how to do it properly and easily. I couldnt be bothered to post a how-to on the forum Will

Fuel pump is in the tank behind the driver's seat, filter is under the car in front of the passenger rear wheel.

They dont use relays. Why dont you leave the stock one in there and modify the actuator arm to give it a full sweep?
-
Nice work Ashkan! Glad you didnt try to put a raised solid suspension in it like a certain project you were keen on some time back! How about painting it pink and white zebra stripes....

Have much to do but need to make sure that the youth are not mislead by incorrect terminology. Referring to an item by the incorrect name only leads to confusion in the long run.

No and 10Nm Actually, not picky, just correct!
-
It is actually a cylinder head cover if you want to be really picky.

You will have to clear a space so Glenn and I can get our mobility scooters in amongst the chaos...

I read this post with great interest, very seldom come on anymore. I felt I had to respond as I share your feelings.. What you say above is so true. I have been involved in building/tuning n/a motors for a very long time, turbo are not my game but I do know quite a bit about it. One of the most important things to do correctly when tuning a motor is to get this flame area right, I am used to referring to it as "squish". If you dont get it right, you end up with inefficient combustion. This "squish" is so important on getting a 2stroke motor to perform properly, never mind a 4stroke one. Quite frankly, anyone who simply bolts on a thicker head gasket to lower compression when turbocharging is just showing their ignorance and inability to do things properly. It will work to a fashion but is the "backyard" way of doing it. This is the very reason I couldn't be bothered with this forum anymore. There are just so many know-it-alls here who should actually stick their opinions where a monkey shoves its nuts. They read things and suddenly they are "experts". When a plonker tells me he is an "expert", I run for cover as the Bullsh*t is about to flow. And dont get me going about the backbiting.... Steve, sometime when I am down in Auckland I would love to catch up with you. It will be a pleasure to talk to someone who has actually been there, done that.. properly!! Right, I am off for the next year or so.... my regards to the few decent folk on BS, you know who you are! Will

Would look much better with Gus behind the wheel.. come home big fella!

I think this is a criminally negligent action to take, and the auto electrician who did this "fix" should be reported to the authorities and have suitable action taken against him. You. as the owner/driver, are just as much to blame and should hang your head in shame. It is easy to detect if this has been tampered with, the wiring loom to the passenger seat will have been modified, probably under the seat. A trip to a "decent" auto electrician would quickly confirm it.
-
If you actually had a clue what you were talking about, it would be a miracle!! You simply spew forth in the hope that more stupid mortals than yourself will actually believe the absolute crap you always seem to post in abundance. It is actually sad that people still tolerate you, or maybe they just feel sorry for you..

Don't use Glenn's glasses to take that really good look, they are useless..!! Easy mod but difficult to explain, did it to mine.

MY STORY.... Jared is one person I will NEVER do business with under ANY circumstances in the future. I have just had one of the most unpleasant experiences in trying to deal with this little tosser that I have ever had. Been stuffed around for well over a month now, with the goalposts shifting all the time. I will not go into details here because it would take too much time and space. But have already discussed them in part with a few BS advanced members and was told to post my feelings.. I would highly recommend to all Bimmersporters that they think long and hard before dealing with him, the experience is likely to be very unpleasant. All I can say is that I have had issues with a number of people on this forum who seem to have a business of selling spares, have been promised things which havn't materialised, been told that a spare is available, have travelled right across to the south of Auckland to collect said spare only to find that there was nothing available and that the idiot hadn't bothered to check, etc etc etc etc.. I could write a book on this topic of being messed around by this bunch of fools. BUT this Jared, JP whatever he wants to call himself has made all these fade into insignificance with his ability to stuff someone around. I would go much further than to say "JP communicate!"... I would say p*ss off and make this forum a better place to be on !!!! In fact, I propose he be banned from the forum to protect others from experiences like mine and others above!! Come on Mods!! Be aware that the e30 has differing door shells also, you would need the mechanism that suits your particular door. (found this out the hard way..) The loom necessary for the conversion is a separate loom so is relatively easy to retrofit but you will have to remove the seats and the carpet to install it. You will also have to get the door looms too and will have to do some minor alteration in the driver's front door plug from memory to accomodate a few wires from the main car loom. This electric window loom has the central locking and electric mirrors integrated into it as well, so you can add that if you dont have it. The sunroof is a pain to do, I did my motorsport's one a while ago. I was too far into the job when I decided it really wasn't worth the hassle, so continued regardless, but wouldn't do it again. I have all the bits lying around to do this (electric windows and sunroof) but am obviously too far from you to be of any good to you. I don't think you would need a write-up, it is really quite simple, I could possibly provide a few pics to show you where to route the wiring, the rest is simple plug'nplay. I don't know if it is worth the hassle to do any of it but definitely not the sunroof..??!! Will
