    Brakes

ive been going to VTNZ places never had a problem, the last two times i went my brake light was up indicating that i needed to replace the brakes, but they didnt say anything, ive tripped out the wire now, and when i did finaly replace the brakes there was heaps of wear still left on them!! i put new ones in anyway but kept the old ones just incase. i dont think it should be somthing they can fail you on, how is it unsafe to drive with that light on?, the light comes on a good 3 - 4 months before you really need to replace your brakes.
  10. yeah e36 lights are piss easy to do, so e46s should be the same just try not to break the clip off the headlight like i did dont pay anyone learn about your car and DIY!!!
  11. matt black for old american cruiser, not e30!
  12. the best place for your tweeters is on the dash pointing up and away from you towards the front windscreen, thats how you will get a better sound, dont make the mistake alot of people do and angle them towards passenger/driver, and id shove the crossover behind the glove box in the dash and drivers side under the steering wheel in the dash.
  13. ive done speaker pods for the back but havent got round to doing the front yet, its on the cards for this year, pretty simple really nice DIY project.

  16. not completely sure so some one might correct me but i think it has somthing to do with the airbag, not somthing you want to do DIY and i believe its called a "slip ring" rather then "clock ring".

  21. Ados spray adhesive, that lasted about a day then the sun came out and sent my hoodlinging sagging again i wasnt impressed, i should of read the can better it says thats its no good for aplications where in contact with heat, been about 6 months since i did it right with kwik grip, got a few bits that are starting to sag now but barely noticeble, i think i didnt use enough glue in thoes bits, i dont want to have to pull it out again as such a mission getting it in and out of the car.
  22. did mine with a can of selleys KWIK Grip and black vynal from spotlight did all the pillars aswell cost me about 80 bucks all up for the material and glue, my second attempt (tried a different glue) turned out pretty good.
  23. gotta disagree with the vomit inducer comment, the sound of american v8s is enough to make me cream my pants, subarus on the other hand i can hear them coming from miles away all sound the same and i cringe everytime i hear them, hate that sound.
  24. battery or alternator, try changing the battery for a good one first then come back to us if you still got the prob.
  25. if your in wellington you can pop around and i can do it in less then an hour for the love of doing it, otherwise just probe around with a multimeter or a testing light, its easy enough, dont pay some one.
