    E30 318is

I've got a hankering for a E30 318is coupe - does anyone on here know of one for sale? I haven't seen any on TM for some time
  2. To me it seems like a lot of money for a 14 year old jap import with 180kms... At the end of the day, its worth whatever you feel comfortable paying
  3. I think the problem is the original crew have moved on / changed priorites and are here less often. Those that drop off aren't being replaced as the younger crew are heading to FB instead. I don't currently own a BMW but still check in here every once and a while I still think there is a place for a forum, but NZ and BMW's only is too small. Shame there is no car centric forum for grown ups (i.e. no flat peaks, slammed cars etc) specific to NZ.
  4. I'm not sure which is worse, asking $125k for the poverty pack 911 (which is too gutless to tarnish the 911 name and instead needs to be called a 912) or having to pay $100 to view it!!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=806123600
  5. I have an old P38 Range Rover (1998 ex Japan) as a hack. The cover on the seatbelt reciever on the drivers side is broken and a new one is needed for a WOF Can anyone point me in the direction of a good wrecker or supplier of used parts? Have seen used ones on eBay for 20 quid and new ex Dealer here is $350
  6. Bahahaha check out Michael Grant Motors (the seller) other listings! This E39 has been listed since 2007!!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-102709625.htm Or check out this Subaru listed in January 2011, photos coming soon!!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/auction-348934539.htm Looks like they are more interested in storing cars rather than selling them. Muppets!
  7. Don't sell the original wheels! A buyer who is looking for an original car will be put off by your aftermarket wheels

    E46 Student Project

I like the topaz blue, and like most of the older (25+...) posters here I would recommend keeping it as stock as possible but a couple of small tasteful mods that don't take up too much cash. How long have you had the car for? In the original post you say you bought it from a dealer, if so, they should be paying your $1000 bill not you...

    Bathurst streaming

Damn didn't realise Bathurst has moved to Sky. Does anyone know if/where I can stream it from the net? Don't mind if it's delayed
  10. Nice low km NZ NEW 535i going $1 reserve... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-776108132.htm
  11. 20 mins max if you are on the road at 7am
  12. Dreamer. How much would it be if it were auto? $10k?
  13. Well you have answered your own question then...
  14. Be careful, what cars are listed for on Trade Me does not suggest the market price. There are a lot of dreamers out there. In my experience, I would say a E46 manual with command a premium of $1k-$2k over an auto if you found the right buyer... In saying that $10k seems to be tops for a non M3 E46 these days
  15. What I've found is if your weekend car is a convertible, the Mrs will support it a lot more as she will get some enjoyment too. Also there is nothing quite like going for a blast down a empty country road with the wind in your hair - it's great therapy to leave your worries behind I'd look at a RS4 Convertible (rare, but still meets your criteria) or if you can overlook a manual, a CLK63 AMG Cab is a great all round choice and will fit four comfortably
  16. Looks like a nice one! Interesting to see what it will go for... My guess = $13k... Link http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-765255694.htm
  17. I love the E63s - they allow you to be a bogan, without actually being a bogan (if you know what I mean - all that grunt and the noise!) Miss my original E55, it was so tough - the box on wheels
  18. I thought these days were usually reserved for people that regularly buy brand new BMWs - share your secret of how you got an invite! Looks like an amazing experience
  19. Wow this looks mint. Price not too unrealistic either... I love the simplicity of these in the lines and interior compared to the latest 7 Link http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/cars/bmw/auction-752903526.htm
  20. An E36 will never be a classic, sorry
  21. To the OP - out of interest are you in the business of selling tyres or was this a second hand set you were simply wanting to move on?
  22. E46's are worth peanuts now. If power isn't as issue by the latest model 318i you can find ideally a facelift model
  23. What are you looking at importing? The country is currently flooded with unsold jap imports and some dealers are starting to sweat and will be keen to liquidate stock. Margins dealers make nowadays are small. I think you could buy what you want just as cheap from a dealer here, get it now and get coverage under the CGA...
  24. Yep I have driven one and had the misfortune of owning a couple of Volvos (V70R, old 440SE back in the day) Just make sure you buy a warranty for it!
  25. Hmmm you must really love your wife....
