Black e30 M325i facelift, tech II, black weaves in an abandoned service station on Park Road near Auckland hospital around 4ish today.

^ It's an auto transmission fitted to Japanese assembled e36's and e34's with M50 engines. They can flare when changing gears and/or be jerky (a'la jatco jerk) when changing from 1st to 2nd, particularly bad when cold.

I would say you are covered under s 7(1) of CGA where one of the guarantee criteria is that the good must be durable, as long as when the item was purchased, you did not agree to a discounted price or there are no notices on the packaging made about the lifespan of the goods etc. It seems these days that manufacturers offer warrantees that expire too quickly and that do not represent a reasonable lifespan of the product.
