  1. I always use Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer. Great stuff. It would last for weeks if keep in a garage and I've only ever gone through 1 and a half bottles since I've owned the car, and I wash and detail it every weekend. Don't like that Bee's Wax stuff at all personally.
  2. Well, you'd be lucky to get $500 for a set of these M3 reps and if you were importing a set of RS's you'd be looking well over 2k. Bit of difference there. If you were a bit earlier mate you could have snapped up those 17x8 and 17x9 RS's that were on Trademe. Only went for a grand. Absolute bargain.
  3. Haha! I'm no oil expert mate. But it seems pretty logical, if there was really that much need to go to a different viscosity of oil between the hottest and coldest season's I would think we'd have heard about it more. I've never even heard of anyone doing that haha! Cheers man, I saw your project thread and it looks a beauty already. One of my favourite E36's ever is in that colour, started from a base aswell. Got some big plans for it! Yea its got the genuine motorsport 17's, not staggered tho. Come up now and again but you have to be pretty fast.
  4. Intense much!?!? Yes, the oils fine for any season. Can't see why it wouldn't be apart from the time it takes the engine to warm up.
  5. Sorry Graham, don't agree at all that the e36 isn't a safe car. I had a head on smash in my fathers '95 320 sedan years ago. 100km straight into the front 3 quarters of a Toyota station wagon turning in front along state highway 27. Windscreen didn't smash, airbags didn't even go off and all the doors and the boot were still aligned perfectly and could open and close. The Toyota was pushed across the intersection and the couple inside needed medical attention. The car was noticeably bent and was almost unrecognisable from the front. Thats partially the reason I have an E36 now, its one of the very few cars I actually feel safe in.
  6. I ripped all the rear interior out again this morning to try and get them in properly but still no luck. Would love to take you up on that offer Jase. I'm getting so frustrated, the interior looks a mess without the door cards and the back seats.
  7. Would possibly take a e36 rear strut brace depending on final price. Bit tight atm.
  8. Sh*t! Please tell us which company that is so we can steer clear of them. I'd be guessing maybe $250 a wheel max. I wouldn't pay anything above $200 a wheel. $450 a wheel is the kinda quote you'd get from most places if they're fixing cracked wheels etc. Wow, I can't get over that quote.
  9. E36 brake pad wear sensor that's good. Have any!? Should prob go new but they're not that bloody complicated so hey! I'll try and stop by for a few. I'll think of more parts I need.
  10. A shame to hear you're selling. What happened to the 25k offer?
  11. I don't think so Glenn. They aren't really clips from what I can see, its like they hook over a metal tab along the glass line. Just can't get them on. I'll get a picture up when I can be bothered disassembling everything again.
  12. Oh BMW gurus! I need your help! So I removed the parcel shelf a week or so ago and dyed it black. Reinstalling was easy apart from two very annoying pieces of trim, the two C pillar covers. They came off alright, but I not able to get them to clip back in along the top (Along the window line). Any tips from anyone who's done this before? I would greatly appreciate it as they're just flapping around and are completely ruining the vibe of my new badass parcel tray! Chur bo
  13. Good Luck mate! I've never seen a genuine BMW one up for sale in NZ and I've only ever seen maybe one schnitzer brace (For e36 that is).
  14. I don't care what any of you guys say! Its amazing! I dropped into Team McMillan this morning to check it out. Only one I've ever seen in the flesh so couldn't miss the opportunity. It was stunning. It had a sort of presence. It was next to e46 M3's and even a e92 M3 and an M5 and it stood out as the more special one. And it actually looks like a 200k car in person. The quality and the materials were 5 steps above any bimmer I've ever seen before, it was solid and the level of workmanship was amazing. I could go on forever but I won't bore you haters!
  15. HID's are most likely the cheap trade me sh*t. I know so many people who have tried them and they've failed. They need an initial voltage to light them up and one guy had to get the rev's up to about 2k before it would come on. And you need to see a workshop to reset the airbag.
  16. I've seen it before but as said it doesn't have the variety yet. The BMW car parts on sella has 17 listings while on trade me its got over 1400 usually. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a free auction website. I'm getting tired of trade me's fee's for everything but you're paying for over 45,000 users online at that site all of the time. You just can't beat that exposure. When Sella get more well know and is used more then maybe I'll switch over but I doubt it will be for a long time.
  17. This e30 is a real saga isn't it man! Keep it alive! It was/is still one of my fav's on bs. You've done soo much work on it!
  18. I could be keen for 5x120 e36 fitment, et 35-45. They'd have to be pretty special though to be honest. Lotsa dish!
  19. Sooo badly want to wind him up about the chrome side vents! He thinks they came factory!
  20. JP, I'll PM you. Sent Personalised Plates an email last night, just with a few questions. A great guy called me back this morning, really helpful and genuinely interested in helping me out. Said the plate was last registered in '92 and since then the owner has possibly gone overseas or maybe even deceased. So I'm pretty much screwed. When you purchase a PP you own the title for life. The interesting thing I learnt is that if the owner of a plate dies the actual plate is legally 'gone' forever. Unless I guess their will states to change ownership over. It's seriously easy to find the owner of a plate if its still on a car, but if it hasn't been on a vehicle in a number of years the chances of finding the owner are extremely low. When transferring a plate over the only information LicenSys receives for the new owner is name, address, and a phone number. If they move like hell they'd remember to inform LicenSys, so there is a flaw in the system! Even badass guy agreed with me. Personalised Plates does not hold ownership information of the plates, this is LicenSys domain (What cool guy told me). So I have now emailed LicenSys and will see what they can say. Cheers for the responses!
  21. Any car can either have the conversion when they come into the country or you can pay for an exemption. That's why there's many LHD vipers and American cars.
  22. Sunvisors are one piece AFAIK mate, at least mine are on my e36. Might need to find a replacement if the mirror light is causing it. Just don't let the gf check her make up in the car and you'll be sweet!
  23. Just a quick update on the pimp leather cleaning. I found some high quality leather cleaner and conditioner that my father uses on his leather lounge suite, also on the leather in his 540. I've now used it and the results are amazing, it has totally softened up the leather and taken away the shininess. Would definitely recommend it, and it only needs to be done every 6 months. I'll find out the brand and where you can get it from for those interested. From memory it was about $40 for a bottle of cleaner and a bottle of conditioner. They would last for at least 2 to 3 complete cleans/conditions. Thought someone might be interested. Cheers
  24. Yea, I'll give them a call this afternoon. I buy plates as investments mainly, I think they're good. Only problem is finding that one person in Auckland or the couple people in NZ who are actually willing to pay top dollar. Most are just time wasters as usual. No! I'm not after that! We'll wait and see.
  25. Seriously cool. Yep, Alpina actually auto'd and made it slower than the BMW version. BMW used the S62 4.9 while Alpina used a tuned 4.8. But Alpina's intentions where to change it from a hardcore street car to a tourer. Dream car, but not with the hardtop. I think it looks silly
