Simple question really. Is there anyway to find out who the owner of a personalised plate is? Tried carjam but its not currently on a vehicle, actually it hasn't been on a vehicle since '92. Really want the plate damn it! Cheers

Thanks for putting up some pictures mate. Yep, he bought it pre-painted from me. I can get them in pre-painted now. I got one for my car as a trial, and the paint matches absolutely perfectly. Even better than the M3 side mirrors I painted myself with actual BMW coded paint. What you're seeing in the photos is the boot looks to be faded. Chris can let us know. Cheers

Yep, I've heard of him doing more conversions on e36's than e30's.
-
Ray at HellBM I believe does drive in drive out conversions for a very reasonable price (Give him a call to find out).

Might be looking at getting some more of these in if there's enough interest. Will PM you if I do get any in.

500 a year, 17 on full. '99 323. I'm pretty pleased!

Sorry mate, didn't see your post. No. I did re-check it a couple times, but each time needed very minor adjustment. But its been fine ever since, hasn't loosened. However I haven't torqued it like Graeme has. I did it hand tight as that was what was recommended to me.

I didn't jack the car up before installing the brace. It just fitted perfectly. While I could put it straight on, I found it interesting with Peters '95 36 he had to jack it up. And the strut bolts can snap if you over do it!

Sure I saw Cam's E36 M3 Sedan parked up on the road opposite Gribblehirst park. Sure couldn't miss the colour! Man its such a sweet colour! And Gallardo down Parnell rise. Dayum that thing can move! http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=503bhp

Happy Birthday Peter! Got those adjusties in yet?

Yea, have quite a few fillings. The one I distinctly remember was when I needed 5 injections and it still wasn't numb, and injections hurt/sting like hell. Don't know what was up! Maybe the syringe was just full of water or something.

BMW Boot Lip Spoilers - Ordering again
greenday-rulz21 replied to greenday-rulz21's topic in For Sale
You were too late. Can't get them in for E28 or E36 compact, they would have to be made custom length. If I have some spare time I'll measure them and you can get one and cut it to length if you want. They've all arrived now. Those who ordered a painted one hopefully should be inpressed. The one I ordered for my 323's colour matches perfectly! Now I'm tossing up whether to keep on the unpainted one or put on the painted one. Those who pre-ordered will be PM'd today. Thanks for the support of those who were interested. -
Happy Birthday!

Yep, great addition. My '99 had them from factory. As Graham said, they're just for ambiance. But having the footwell lights completes the look when opening the doors or unlocking the car. The whole interior will light up. Personally I don't know what using the orange lensed indicator would look like, I'm trying to get away from the yellow/orange with white bulbs but will be interesting to see how it comes out! Keep us updated.

Don't really know what you mean by Butt splices but you should never use taps for anything permanent, as you might know. I cut away the insulation around the end of the wire you're soldering on, and I cut away the insulation on a small 1-2cm section on the wire you're tapping into. Both wires must me tinned first, makes it easier for the solder to stick. If you're doing one end to another I just tin them and solder them side by side. Thats if its in a place where its not going to get vibrations etc otherwise just twist them. Every join should always be covered with heat shrink or if thats not available, electrical tape. You probably know most of that but thats what I do. btw, don't use a gun shaped soldering gun (Can't remember their special name) cause they can be very powerful and fry modules and units in the car. Hope that helps.

Ultra Racing Strut Braces/Chassis braces/Sway bars
greenday-rulz21 replied to AAP Imports's topic in For Sale
I noticed a difference after I put mine on. As Nathan said, it felt a lot sharper. Will be investing in a rear brace sometime. -
Cheers mate! Appreciate your time. Before I read you'd done it I rang up a couple this morning. Greenlane had one which they couldn't find, Onehunga had one or two, Massey had a couple, and Henderson had five. Dropped down to Henderson after the guy put a couple behind the counter for me. Had three left on the shelf when I left. So if anyone desperately needs a can I'd suggest you head down the Henderson Repco ASAP! Just did a couple parcel shelves today and its great stuff.

Yep, see it up in Ponsonby/Grey Lynn all the time. Its part of the Number 1 cars fleet. Seriously cool, it has such great presence.
-
^^ Cheers for the offer mate. I can't use gloss black though, has to be satin seeing I've already used that. Repco also seem to have an infinite supply of gloss as well!
-
Haha, of course I threw the can out. Hopefully someone else will have a can lying around. *crosses fingers*

I've been looking for this for weeks. I've half sprayed my parcel shelf but ran out, all the Repco's I've been to have been sold out. Soo freakin annoying as this works better than any others I have tried.

530's were M30B30's from '88-'90. The 530 changed to the M60B30 after '92.Shame its not a small manual V8, then I would have been more!

There ya go!
