  1. No one? I guess it'll just go in the room of spare parts then : )
  2. Last chance ... make me a reasonable offer and I might just bite!! Can't really be bothered sending this all the way back half way around the world!!
  3. BRAND NEW (no box however). GENUINE!!! It's stated to be for an E46, but I have a feeling that the E9X are the same handle and will also fit correct (please don't quote me on this one - but from the photos I've seen they look to be the same handle). Handle only - no alcantara boot. (top finish is aluminium and bottom black alcantara) $90. Actual photo of handle:
  4. The store I bought these from sent me the wrong version ... these are BRAND NEW!!! Fit all E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring with the individual switch buttons in the middle (18mm) version - NOT FOR SAT NAV cars (this is not a relocation kit) - i.e. pocket compartment goes in the space above. Part number 51 16 8 230 901 I am only listing these for 3 days before I send them back ... so grab them if yours is looking a little tired!! BRAND NEW NOT A SCRATCH ON THEM!!! (these are about $165 from BMW NZ - grab a bargain) - my loss your gain!! $100 (what you see is what you get!!)
  5. Integra (excludes type R) ... LOL ... I can see that beating the whole field of eligible cars!! You might want to add the Civic Type R too - although finding one for $2000 would be almost impossible I suppose. Might be wise to exclude the DOHC vtec altogether as it'll be hard to stop the Honda guys from swapping type R cams, gearboxes and other gears into the car without anyone knowing. Otherwise awesome idea!! I just hope the whole no roll cage thing stays ... add a cage to the car and it'll more or less defeat the purpose of budget racing. Might start looking for a car soon!!!
  6. I own like 4 torque wrenches of varying sizes and quality ... including a gearwrench electric one I imported privately (with supposedly -/+2% accuracy) I torque practically every single bolt I can unless it's at an impossible angle to get to ... If I am honest, I hate the electric ones ... the ability to have a simple audible click and feel through the torque wrench as you hit the pre-set torque figure is about as good as it gets - trying to read off the torque figure (even with audible tone) off the LCD display is a pain in the arse ... Don't bother with the electric ones unless you are requiring to go down 2 decimal places for head studs and crank caps ... even then I think it's a bit overkill ....
  7. Brand new in Box, M3 CSL side gills (gills with badge) - left and right side (i.e. a full set) Genuine BMW item. Never fitted, just excessive spares that I am getting rid of. $320 ps. The CSL badge on its own is $77.75+GST retail .... each!! Sample photos only
  8. The way that 2 has been interpreted includes all 5 series - not just a sub-model variant - so M5s would not meet number 2 above. Couple of guys on the Honda forum looked into this on Type Rs - and they were told all Civics and Integras made that year are counted, not just the Type R variants. It's the same reason that M3 CSLs will meet 1, 3 and 4 but not 2. And the reason that E46 M3s won't meet 1 but will meet the requirements of 3 and 4.

    RIP Cosmos

My thoughts are with his family and friends ... RIP Brian. It was a pleasure to know you and to have the opportunity to share our enthusiasm for BMWs together. Going to be strange to drive past Fiber McPhee and not see your car out there.
  10. The Z4M is quite a bit faster than the E46 M3 ... in fact I would go as far as to say it's closer to the CSL in terms of speed than the E46 M3 is to the CSL (this is based on personal experience by the way) Topgear Circuit lap: (I know the times are from a roadster, but usually the coupe is a little quicker! 01:25.3 BMW M3 (E90 Saloon) 01:26.0 BMW Z4 M roadster (E85) 01:26.2 BMW M5 (E60) 01:31.8 BMW M3 E46 Nurburgring: BMW M3 CSL (E46) 7:50 -- 360hp -- 1385kg E90/E92 M3 - 8:05 1M - 8:12 BMW Z4 M Coupe EVO magazine 8:12 BMW M5 (E60) 8:13 -- 507hp -- 1848kg BMW Z4 M Roadster 8:15 -- 343hp -- 1444kg BMW M3 (E46) 8:22 -- 343hp -- 1565kg
  11. You could have also added - "hey it's a practical car because it has a hatch back honey!!" This one is a no brainer for me ... Z4M - fantastic looking car and for the money that one on trademe is asking, I don't know why anyone would want an E46 M3 plagued with subframe issues and easily 8x more km travelled. Hell, you don't see the outside of the car when you are in it driving it and enjoying it. Plus it's faster than the E46 M3 and sounds just as fantastic.
  12. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-571170211.htm I am NOT affiliated with the seller .... I swear!! But honestly this has to be the BEST valued M car on the market at the moment I must say ... Why are people still spending $30K+ for an E46 M3 with over 100k km on the clock when you can have this almost brand new car for $40K ono!! Also it's like getting a mini CSL - there's so much CSL parts in this car it's almost a parts bin left over!! And best of all ... no subframe issues!! If you don't need the rear seats, then in my opinion great bargain this car!
  13. Z4 is D-CAN .... If you are in Auckland, PM me, I can scan it for you.
  14. Awesome!!!! The most I've ever won was $60 on an instant kiwi!! Gonna be mighty hard to give up the keys after the month I am sure!!
  15. Is the car SMG? If it is, you'll have to take it on the motorway, run it above 60km/h, put it in neutral and pull both +ve and -ve paddles back simultaneously for about 3 seconds ... it'll reset the wheel speed sensors. There's no lights or any feedback to say it is done correctly, so I would personally do it a couple of times. Also when you reset the sensor, best way to do it is to turn key to position 2 but not start the car up .... hold the button until the dash light changes colour and then let it go - the light will turn off once calibrated. Turn the car off and then start up again and drive around to recalibrate.
  16. The third generation runflat tyres weigh not much more than your standard road tyres. I have a set of Pirelli P Zero RFT on my mini and they weigh no more than the non RFT. Whilst you can mount RFT tyres on normal rims there is definitely a thing as a runflat rim - it has an extra inner seal lip to keep the tyre on the rim when punctured - a runflat on a normal rim will simply come off the rim at speeds when deflated - put a RFT rim next to a standard rim and you'll see the difference.

This is really so very sad to hear .... please let Brian know my thoughts are with him.

  21. Vorshlag Style Rear Trailing Arm bush limiter kit for the E46 and E36 (both M and non M) Made of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and CNC'd from genuine Vorshlag limiter kit to exact specification. $90 per set (cheaper than trying to import these on your own from Vorshlag) Prolong the life of your rear trailing arm bushes and bring back that sharpness in your E36 and E46 rear end. Can provide RTAB also and fitting services by qualified BMW techs. PM for more info. http://www.vorshlag.com/product_info.php?c...;products_id=59 This is how much your RTAB moves without a limiter: We are only doing a 4 sets run only this time so be quick!!
  22. I must be the only person that thinks this is the most overpriced E46 M3 I've ever come across!! If you can pick up a genuine CSL with 36k km on the clock at Turners Auction for $50K and put it back on the road for $1k more - I don't know why anyone in their right mind would want a CS for $40K that's done 180K+ km ...
