  1. ^^ Your ding man is way more skilled than the one I used No idea yet Dylan .... we shall see
  2. Update: No more ding - Glenn from DRS worked his magic and made it as good as new - no more ding You'd have to be pretty damn fussy to even find where it is now
  3. Cheers Henry Definitely worth it Josh - highly recommend the product. I only wish now that I had gone a little bit further and did the complete car haha .. Anyway, getting the tiny ding fixed this week - once done you'd never see it and it'll be as good as new

    Sad Day :(

Pets are like family - soo sorry to hear.
  5. Cheers!! Ventureshield is an American product manufactured by venture tape. They were bought out by 3M a while ago. Have a look here and contact Alan if you are interested: http://www.paintprotection.co.nz/ If you search through my past posts you'll also find that I did a write up about it a while back (sorry I couldn't find where it is on here, but someone will put up a link I am sure )
  6. 2009 E92 M3, Jerez Black (it's actually a very very dark blue under light, but black in the shade). Black leather interior. SE model (i.e. not the HP model with dampertronic suspension). All standard features like Navigation (DVD based iDrive, not the 2010 HD system), bluetooth ect ect .. 18 inch alloy - no curbings whatsoever. Almost full venturesheild paint protection to 80% of the vehicle (over $3500 worth). Just under 20,000km. Next service is due in about 8000km, but I actually paid for an oil and filter service about 400km ago, so you can wait this one out a bit further. The car is in immaculate condition bar one thing that happened recently. Some idiot opened their door way too hard and way too close to the left rear quarter and chipped a bit of paint off (about 5mm x 3mm )on the body crease line (hence not that noticeable), there's a very very faint dent (no larger than 2mm) if you really look for it. I've done a pretty perfect touch up and wetsand polish job using Glasruit touch up paint (as good as you'll get without respraying the whole rear quarter, which honestly would be overkill for something so minor) - most people would miss this, but I like to be honest and upfront about any minor imperfections. Otherwise the car is in perfect condition in every respect (interior inclusive). Treated and cared for like all my cars. This is my daily work vehicle so the km will go up. Legitimate reason for sale - proof of funds before test drives would be entertained. Happy to put the car on the GT1 scanner to show the buyer also that there's no fault codes. $110,000 mobile 021 281 0155 email: [email protected] Purchased as an ex-demonstrator on the first day it was put on the showroom floor - so the odometer was showing about 6km (I have photographic proof of this) when I drove it off the showroom - so technically new in all respects.
  7. Really? Well it's been quite a few years actually (like 4 years +) since I last visited their workshop, so perhaps times have changed? Are they still the official Audi and Porsche factory repair shop?
  8. Ray Hasler for good pricing and quality work. Euro Collision (now called German Kollision Haus) for top quality work, but expect to pay for it.

    CALLING F1 FANS

As much as it pains me to say this, but I don't actually think Hamilton has a realistic chance at all (mathematically maybe, but not realistically unless Alonso's engine blows up, Vettle and Webber crashes into each other maybe - or better still heavy rain in Abu Dhabi haha). Given the way that Webber's been treated by RedBull in general, would be nice to see him take it this year. Don't want Vettle to win - he can wait a few more years. Have no allegiance to Alonso at all, although he is a great driver - but something about him that's just no likeable for me (maybe he's too much of a racing driver not much of a PR person).

    Import Tax

And make sure that your broker don't try the GST on VAT thing like they tried to do with me recently - idiots!!(should the seller end up charging you this - technically it can be VAT free when it's exported.)
  11. Use the twist method - you won't damage anything (that's how you put them back on). Perplexing why the instructions provides the jolt method as you are more likely to damage other stuff doing it that method. If you are in Auckland more than happy to help you take this off and remount - it's very easy to do and I've done this numerous times.
  12. Wrong engine oil that's why (it's not even the recommended weight) Almost all Best Motoring videos are biased one way or another towards the domestic market cars. It's a Japanese thing.
  13. What was suppose to be a 3 day turn around delivery turned into two weeks. Finally got my hands on these
  14. Video was taken with a Lintek LT-350 (www.lintek.co.nz) It's not really designed for this type of thing but I thought I'd try it out and see how it performs. Not sure why Puke is so brown to be honest, but there was a lot of dirt on the grass ... maybe they are resurfacing the grass for the horses??
  15. Dedicated machine setup to run virtual machine GT1. Actual Machine + screen shot: And this is the cable you need to complete the setup: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-Ediabas...omotiveQ5fTools Machine spec: IBM T30 (note one of the RAM slot is faulty, so only one of the slots work). 256MB RAM (to run the GT1 you WILL need to upgrade this to 1G with a single DDR333 PC2700 1G stick - they are about $75 on trademe) 1.8GHz P4 CPU 40G hard drive. 1 battery (lasts about 40 minutes I think) 1 IBM charger NB: I've only ever used this on OBD2 equiped cars, so am not 100% how to set it up for older BMWs that still run the 20 pin plug. Theoratically works on cars between 1998 - 2007. YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE AN OBDII Serial cable (this is NOT supplied). Diagnostic head NOT required. To work on cars post 2007 you will need D-CAN cable via USB (but not recommended on a slow machine like this). $380ono The GT1 runs via Serial RS232 port - plug and play - automatic battery and module detection. Serial RS232 cable can be purchased from ebay for about US$40 shipped.
  16. Yes it did .... twice. So I took it off for the rest of the day Then a freaking spider decided to climb over my dash and scared the crap out of me haha ...
  17. It was tempting haha ... but nah didn't want me ass handed to me by an American muscle
  18. Was going to take the CSL with the new KW Competition 2 ways so I can do some baseline setup and dial them in ... but unfortunately they are sitting at a Customs office ... So I took the daily drive to the track instead ... Here are two videos of my crap driving Video 1 http://www.vimeo.com/16165425 Video 2 http://www.vimeo.com/16166153
  19. The Viper won the drag by the way
  20. Saw a Red Viper Convertible drag race a Ford XR8 on Te Irirangi Drive (twice at the stop lights) - rego on the Viper was something like Venom8 I think. And it was loud!!
  21. M cars should not be Turbos - end of story. It all begain with the X5M and X6M and most die hards don't consider those to be real M cars in the traditional sense. Having said that, I am sure it'd be a cracker of a car.
  22. Either version is fine - even an aftermarket version should be okay provided it's of good quality and sufficient thickness. Need a pair of course. Please PM or text me 021 281 0155. Cheers.
  23. Your friend better hope in hell that this guy hasn't racked up fines during this time that the car's been registered under your friend's name - not smart at all.
