  4. yea, first to view, figured it was a good price but they're not particularly desirable plus a really bad time of the year to sell a ragtop so pretty chuffed I have been spared the tyre kickers and noshowers - looking at another e30 coupe now - sucker for punishment :-)
  5. Like greased lightning - sold with 30 mins :-)

    E36 Convertible

Cheers, from when I first got it around a year ago the difference is unreal.. it always looked nice and the engine was sweet but other bits were tired.. in addition to the stuff I mentioned earlier I have had the gear linkage rebushed as it was very slack, and a new clutch and various bearings changed, its so tight to drive now as well as, I reckon, looking the dogs nads, all factory stuff no molesting at all. Minor stuff to do now only, new gators for gearstick and brake, a little touch up paint for minor chips and gonna have a try at sorting the tensioners in the roof as it needs a little help being tucked in when folding away.. then thats it ... hopefully my summer ride for the next xxx years ... PS if not seen already heres some pics when the seats were done, still knocked out by them although due to the colour they are not quite as gleaming now http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/49690-leather-seats-refurbed-e36/

    E36 Convertible

Change of plan.. was gonna sell but put some - lots of - cash into it since these pics were taken, now has a brand new roof, new front shocks, wheel bearings replaced, seats fixed up (cracks filled and redyed) new tyres all round, tracking done, missing side trim replaced, new sounds, got colour matching M3 mirrors from the UK and lots of other smaller stuff fixed up .. looks and drives the nuts now, be ready in time for summer
  17. Back to full thickness by the look of it.. if you look really closely you can see the repairs but you have to be aware of them to see where they are .. btw, if anyone wants to see them in the flesh you're more than welcome to come and inspect - in Remuera/Meadowbank area of Auckland, I'm not touting for business btw but really impressed with them
  18. Thanks for the comments guys . Yea, just the leather surface repaired, the bolsters where in pretty good shape but the thinning leaather was starting to cause me a little concern, figured if I waited for it to fail totally it would be a bigger - more expensive - job to repair, very pleased, had wheel bearings replaced recently, gear linkage rebushed, new clutch, colour matched M3 mirrors off Ebay UK lots of little rattles tightened up and a big clean up, looks like a new car now.. saving up to get a new top on it then I am done
  19. I honestly dont know the technical details, they gave me a small bottle of conditioner to apply periodically
  20. yep... don't want to sit on 'em now though
