  1. Exactly what I was thinking. Would be keen for a set if there was the bimmersport captions.
  2. I don't really know how to look at the condition purely through photos. Clean and tidy photos does not mean it is always mechanically sound. I was posting it here in hope the owner is a member which would at least offer the fact he is more of an enthusiast over the average Joe which hypothetically would result in the car given a bit more care. I choose my cars by condition > mileage but paying around the 8.5k mark could also get me a E39 with lower kms. And as for the "not knowing much about them" I mean in terms of valuation as I have never really looked at them on the market before now and see a big variance in price hence asking.
  3. That is one nice car But on topic, that steam cleaning result is awesome!
  4. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-646056301.htm Members car? Not too familiar with E34s but is this priced too high? Kms are slightly higher than what I want but if condition is good then will be considerable. Those euro plates look like the ones Andy are selling?
  5. zzzzzzzzzzzz... do no one look at the pinned section? Another thread was started for another run. $45/set. Liking the older design much more though. See thread: http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/44630-bimmersport-number-plate-surrounds/
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCTanOzoRq8 Remember the "tyrekicker" definition thread? I found a prime example on Youtube. This guy had the balls to do it at a Ferrari, Lambo and McLaren dealerships.
  7. Got your hands on the beast yet? Enjoying it so far? :-)
  8. Seriously? LOL. Trying to make a quick buck I guess
  9. Good work Ewan. :-) Oh does anyone know if that's the only difference between sunroof and moonroof? So the moon roof can be tilted and slide back jus the same as a sun roof?
  10. Congrats on your purchase! Super cool that its got the Dynavin in there too. You will definitely love it.
  11. JIF and elbow grease does it for me. Then I polish it with WD40. Here is my result on my old DC2 a few years back showing one side finished compared wit the other side Lasts me quite a while before I have to redo them.
  12. Haha, already saw that! Am planning to go have a look at it and maybe buy it if my car sells before it gets sold.
  13. If you supply it, I'll buy it!
  14. Will need to update the headlights and tail lights though. Makes a huge difference!
  15. 10M3 would look great next to his 8M3
  16. Welcome, loving the look of your car! Almost looks exactly like my old car, same colour, same wheel! Not too sure about the altenator but I'm sure someone will chime in.

  18. Thanks for this info! Will definitely take this into account now that I think how important this really is.
  19. Michael is spot on. +1 for WD40
  20. Well, I may be wrong but as far as I know there was a slight change between the 1997 and the LATE (After Sept.) 1998 models. ASC become DSC. Single VANOS became Double VANOS. So that is a small update? Also there wasn't any "M-Sport" E39s until about 2000 only cars offered with a "Sports package (Steering wheel, seats, suspension, etc) I think the biggest "update" was in 2001 when they all came with the angel eyes headlights. Same year as 530i replacing the 528i. Another thing that changed was the tiptronic was pushed up to downshit and pulled down to upshift. Of course BMW offered the M-sport package with the nicer sportier bodykits. That's all I can think off anyway.
