  1. just thought i would mention, got that same 32mm sca spanner but i use a peice of wood to hit it, wider surface means less chance of hitting and breaking other stuff and you get basically the same farce through to the bit of wood as the hammer. just another method for those with no aim with a hammer haha
  2. yea but they arnt nearly as strong, also i already have a medium case lsd in the car but the ratio is 3.25 and much to long so i wanna test some differant ratios awesome ray, will get in contact soon
  3. cheers andy, got them tonight and have just fitted them. its dark out so the photos i took wernt that great, but they look good so far. and the plate frames they have are fancy haha

thought it was this one i saw at pitstop today, nice car man, evan if it has to be pushed round haha. i was the one on the bike as you were pushing it up in the morning
  5. sorry glen thats a little to long for what im looking for, anyone else got anything. the closest ratio to 4.1 ill get. i can wait if i need to but would prefer it sooner rather than later.
  6. looking for a medium case e30 diff in auckland, or close to. a high ratio one, along the lines of 4.1 or 3.9, higher the better whats everyone got? will pick up this weekend if someone has one suitable
  7. heard fron an engine builder pro-ma is an engine killer. mate put it in his mitsi, blew the big end around a month later. ive put it in my m52 e30. once i found out this info, it was drained and filled again with new stuff, heard it did wonders, till i asked people that actually knew what they were on about
  8. i say atleast 20, preferably 25. i had a et40 rim on my car, didnt hit anything , stayed like that for a few years, just got spacers in it, had 20s, were quite big enough to make it look how i wanted so ive added extra slip on spacers aswell. the front is an et15 now and is pritty good the rears are gonna be et12. and with the hub centric rings, i had an issue with them not being avalible to fit the e30 hub, so got some other ones that were slightly smaller (toyota ones or somethng) and just sanded the inside out a little bit
  9. does anyone have a contact for getting whiteline sway bars in at a lower price than retail? im wanting a e30 adjustable rear sway bar, was looking at ordering it tomorrow. anyone able to help me out? the rear end of my car is getting its make over soon and this is one of the majors on the list, i already got the front on and it worked wonders

    e36 ignition

found the issue, the AA guy that towed the car back home missed the blown fuse, i finally felt the spinning ignition issue aswell and realised how bad it is. glad its getting fixed and never got to the point of locking up in a random position

    e36 ignition

the problem isnt it spinning, it does turn the ignition on and off, just doesnt go far enough to make it crank. taking it apart and inspecting now, will see what i find

    e36 ignition

recently got a new e36, dads using it at the moment and said the ignition is rolling but i never experianced it, this morning he went to start it and it turned like normal, without the rolling action, but it wouldnt start. wouldnt click or crank or anything. turned all the way round and got ignition lights on and everything, just no starting. is there any other normal e36 issues i should look at? i know ill be needing to fix the rolling issue at the same time, and i plan to, but this feals like a differant issue so wanted so see if there is something else that needs fixing
  13. evan tho this has all gone off track and we are no longer talking about them buying an e46... haha my work brought in 6 or 7 cars, all the same model and spec. i didnt really notice if they were the cheap spec, but all bar one broke one of its two plastic cam gears, when replacing them we replaced both so there were no chances of it happening again, and the only reason the last one didnt break was due to us replacing it before it broke, showed signs of it failing soon tho. all cars had low ks and were around 08 onwards but all had issues that related to the climate. we no longer buy singapore imports. just my .02c of first hand experiance
  14. from how i read it, it does sound like a bad alternator. everything cut out all at once but speedo kept working. first thing to check would be the volts at the battery terminals with the engine running, if there below 13.5v then thats your issue
  15. im planning on using the m52b28 internals to basically stoke it out to 2.8, but will keep the cast iron block, need to lower the compression at the same time and a few other basic things. have heard you can get 500 horse on a stock block b25 block with only a thicker head gasket, but still yet to confirm that

    [MY E30]

think i saw this at the hard park on sunday, looked prity mint man, good work but needs a little bit a spacing for the wheels i reakon. nothing to much, just enough to bring it out to the guard. jelous of how good your paint is
  18. can someone else confirm the clutch he has to suit the 240 box will fit a 260 box aswell
  19. if you do it that way and build a custom mount then youll need to get it certed, if you use a mount with no modification then no cert needed. where are you located? i may have a box that i could do a deal on
  20. you possibly have a trans mount to suit a m40 engine, they on a differant angle to m20s so wont line up. thats the only thing i could think of with out seeing pics
  21. since ive already got the 2.8 internals ill just stick with them, and was planning on using the iron block but putting b28 internals in it. going to get a complete m50 then swap out the crank rods and pistons to make it a iron block m50b28 and was definatly planning on it, just got a couple more things to do on the body then will be time for that. he is crunchy on the forum right? (just making sure im thinking of the right person)
  22. how have i not seen this round the area more? im just up on chevron off breamer and havent seen it in the area. see it out side your school quite often tho. looks good man, wouldnt mind looking at it sometime if your keen
  23. Thanks for confirming that, will hopefully be getting a m50 block to start work on soon, need to sort out my daily first i know its alot of effort for not much in return but i want to build something and since i got the b28 block with a knackered head i thought why not. the first setup will most likely just be swap everything over, clean everything up, replace bearings and rings, fit head and possibly main studs and a thicker cometic headgasket just to build the running setup and get everything basically tuned in and setup. after a while i might redo the whole thing but not at this stage. the power figure is 300kw atw at this stage, not overly high compared to alot of other m50bxx turbo builds but its my target (for now). ECU wise not sure exactly, was going to try with the factory computer and see how that goes other wise ill have to do more research and find what will be best bang for buck, but thats later on plan is for abit of a sleeper and for it to not just spin the rears when power comes on, it needs to go somewhere and use the power but grip will be dialed in and sorted once i have the engine running.
  24. is there any differances between the m52 block and the m50 block apart from alloy and iron?? ive got a m52b28 bottom end and want to build a iron block 2.8l to put some boost into. ive spent countless hours searching to confirm this but i cant find an anwser. cheers for any help and if someone knows alot about turbo m50s i would love a bit of knowledge
