    M325i vs SR20DET.

Thanks, I feel the index is something every extended build thread should have as default. Current project, made it in 20mins. Gear is from my RC plane which is current out of the air due to quite a large impact... The plane. 1.4m wide, EPO foam, modeled on a Cirrus SR-22. Great fun. Sam has one too and we battle in the sky. Battle very hard as you can see. Tape and Araldite has it flying again by the next day. That's certainly a very bad crash, usually only munch the nose a little. Go all the way or none of the way I say.
  5. Is 1000 wide out of the question? 800px wide is very windows Xp.
  6. Well I would cancel an entire sunday worth of real racing to hold a track day for students, buuuuut I'm busy on Sunday too.

I do think the trend is only Forced Induction for the future. Just as N/A engine technology has filtered down into road cars from the last 20 years of F1, we will see turbo technologies and developments on road cars that dwarf even current standards.

Truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue. Sadly. Revving to only 13k.
  9. Random Trade suggestion time: If anyone wants a 3.64LSD, they can buy Oli's here and trade me the 4.1 for the 3.64. Who knows, maybe someone needs a longer ratio!

It's just variable valve lift and duration timing you know right? It was revolutionary, umm, 18 years ago. But now it's pretty standard. Honda Type R engines do have very good horsepower per liter figures (like 100-120, the S2000 held some record with 123ish hp per liter) But so does an M engine. Even Altezzas have a 200hp 2liter engine. ALTEZZA, the most boring car known to man.
  11. The university club Motosoc is running the first track day of the year this thusday. 'parantly all proceeds going to the Red Cross chch EQ thing, which is all good. Private message me to get in on it, I can't even remember the price right now (60 dollars rings a bell, cheap as) but it's a full day and I'll be driver training and I'll have my car there for rides (got the clutch working/put low quality rubber on the rear wheels..)

  13. Oh yes, yes, yeeeeeees, that was humorous-tumorous
  14. Yes Apex has already covered that. Can't research everything sadly, and '08 F1 cars sure do look like '11 F1 cars when they are 47 pixels across.
  15. He has neglected to mention he grew up in New Zealand and caused havoc with myself and a few others all through high school and the years after. So, not an Aussie.
  16. I do believe the Super super hards are used because when the car gets back into the pits, and the hoard of photographers come over, the tires look very pretty and like-new instead of covered in melted, flattened, lines and balls of rubber.
  17. Sounds like... Low Rev limit. Looks like... Display tires (super hard, used them when Nick Heidfeld went round the Nordschleife a few years back) Also looks like... 'If you put this car into the wall 5 days before Friday Practice we'll take your balls and grind them to dust whilst still attached to you'

    BMW accident

E30's don't have - what are mechanically defined as - side intrusion bars. Just boss as sills.
  19. Hey there perercui1, Very interested in your car. Except I don't have 200 dollars for a test drive.... I don't even have a Dad to borrow 200 dollars off, so: Would you take 'other' forms of payment? I have a mouth like a hoover and can suck a golf ball through a garden hose. Would you be interested in this form of payment? Judging by your choice of colour on your vehicle I think it would be a legitimate trade. If I have the car for longer than 30 minutes and have to pay, the entirely fair, extra 100 dollars maybe I could provide other services? Some examples of these services include: Building the Jenga tower for you after you play. I will rebuild it 20 times. Cleaning the floor underneath your fridge. I will clean 4 square meters worth of fridge covered floor. If you have any people who don't like you (I'm sure you don't though) I can send them 12 packs of eggs, they'll get egg on their hands LOL! I will send 15 12 packs of eggs. These are just a few examples. I also have lots of experience with grave digging and felching so I'm sure something could be arranged. Nice car by the way, 1900kg of pure open-diff, low-end-only power, common-as-earthquakes, cost-a-mint-to-fix awesome. Cheers boss
  20. It survives just fine if you don't have it tucked in a cabinet or sitting on the carpet. I seriously have left my Slim on for the past 2.5 months, maybe 5-6 resets for updates. Many others have done much, much longer.
  21. Your descriptions made it clear. Need to get a wheel asap... only have 5 more races to do to get all golds and I don't want to do them with the controller. About 24 + 24 + 9 + 4 + 6ish hours in total... :S
  22. Your set-up is pure gold hahaha. Feet through a table. What if there is an earthquake?!?!?!
