Gosh if you're whining about a 318ti, DON'T even consider an e65. Do you take it to Team McMillans? Obviously being a dealer they are going to be hugely expensive. Find an indepedent workshop, eg BMWorkshop or Botany Motor Worx. As for the older car vs. new car thing, of course an older car would have more worn out parts that needing replaced, but with a newer car, when something goes wrong (and a 2002 e65 IS getting old) it will cost you a fortune.

Because you make unjustified posts with no prior knowledge on the subject.

Just drive it. If the cops pull you over mention it has just been imported (show documents) and tell them you're taking it to Glenn's. Provide his phone number so they can confirm.

If I'm correct this is Jock's old car. Where are you Martyn?

Lets not all add fuel to the fire. Play nice.

Welcome! Peugeots are interesting things, the last one I drove (2005 307) had more creaks and rattles than a '93 Commodore, and a stereo that randomly turned itself up to max volume. It had character though! It's good to have a little diversity here. -

You best have plenty of money. I wonder if Roland still has the cab for sale?

I would count myself lucky Glenn! All that chemical crap our solidiers got exposed too is really hurting them now. I had a neighbour who went to Vietnam, he concieved two badly deformed kids before they were terminated (didn't try again - he and his wife adopted), and is now absolutely riddled with Cancer. But you would of got a nice payout from the Government last year!!

Wow, a NZ New Facelift 325i Maunal Coupe! Talk about rare! I'd fix all the little niggly things (Paint rear panel, fix glovebox etc) and give it a really good clean with decent car products. I've added $1500 on a car's value with $200 of products, a decent buffer and a cloudy weekend. If it was immaculate (which you can easily do!) I wouldn't put anything less than $4000ish if the motor/gearbox is in good condition. Good luck with your Helicopter Pilot training. I'm about to start training for my Private Pilot License, and I know it ain't cheap!!

I always found taking anything down to one of the Japanese exchange students at school gave me a quick and easy answer

I remember a thread on an American forum of someone who stealth mounted his Valentine 1 in his e39 and programmed the instrument cluster to show all its information. Was very clever and would be impossible to find without doing a vehicle search.

A garage sounds a lot easier. Mine were done for free when I had my warrant done.

Would rather this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-196847759.htm Nothing beats a manual.

I think we should ban the search function for new members

There is no 328i in the e30, and you're not going to get a very good one to swap with a '92 Berlina.
