Urgent: Best ground point in boot E36

Agreed! It won't be the earth wire thats causing the noise. Where have you run the power and RCA's? Are they run together or two seperate paths? If you've run them together down the same path thats ya problem, or running RCA's thru the middle. I recently wired up my e36 with a sub. RCA's down the drivers side, Power down the passengers, Earth from the tow bar bolt in the boot. No noice what so ever. Let me know, and ill try to help. -
Agreed! Go for the connectors. Cost about $40 for the 2 of them and honestly takes about 5 mins to install. The only way to go!

Well im guessing you car is different to mine. My fuse box (black) is in the engine bay on the passengers side by the battery up against the fire wall. Under the cover it has the number of each fuse and what it is for. Just by looking at the fuses from the top you can tell what has blown, if any have.Let me know how you get on.
-
Check ya fuses first mate. Had a similar problem the other day with the windows and the radio going on me and all it was were the fuses. Not sure why it happened thou but all good now.

A friend of mine has written this on a couple other forums. Thought Id post this for everyone to read. Never using Tonys again! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tonys Tire Thieves Thought I'd fill you all in on my little dilemma and see if anyone else has had a similar problem. I've had a 98 Altezza for a couple of years now and the wheels are mint. Only 1 small scuff on 1 rim. Took my car into Tonys, Cambridge tce, Wellington, the other Saturday afternoon just before closing to get 2 new tires put on. The manager was all good, said he'd rotate the rear to the front and put the new ones on the back....made sense. Told me to come back in about an hour. So I rocked on back jumped in the car a shot down to VTNZ to get the warrant completed before they closed. Hopped out of the car, had a good look at the tires with the VTNZ guy and what the hell.......the rims were scratched to hell. Closer inspection revealed that these weren't even my rims at all. Shot back to Tonys only to find them closed. I was pissed all weekend. Went down to Tonys on monday morning only to be fobbed off by the manager. He told me to file a police report. All the managers including Steve Lang didn't want a bar of it. Didn't offer any compensation or anything. NOTHING. Told me he had to support his (thieving) staff. So I filed the police report but that still leaves me with 4 rims that are scratched to hell that aren't mine that I now have to pay to get re-built. So much for 'Rule no.1 The customer's always right'.
