Hi guys, one of my friends auto e36 is having problem starting. When you turn the key, you can hear a whirring noise but the engine doenst seem to crank. After a few more tries, you can get it to start. I am thinking perhaps its the solenoid on the starter motor thats malfunctioning. What do you guys think? Also, any idea how much it would cost to get it fixed? I would be keen to give it a go myself if it isn't too difficult. Thanks!

Haha, was just a matter of time til someone said that ! Yeah, I'm considering that too. Just that since my bro's got one, I just wanted to get something different to play with, I mean there isn't much point in having two cars the same right?!

Hi guys, I've been on the hunt for a new car for quite a while. Currently looking at buying an Audi A3 1.8T, any of you guys know much about them? Are they easy to service? (w/o going to a stealer of course!) Nice to drive? Would it handle anything close to a bmw? Reliable? Expensive to run? Any common problems? Any past experience with Audi's would be much appreciated, thanks guys! P.S I'm not selling my E36! (thats my bro's car, time to get my own now )

Hi guys, I'm planning on having a look at a 98 e46 318i. I've never driven one before, so I don't really know what to expect. Are there any problems I should look out for? And what would be a resonable price? Any opinion would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey as far as I know, some cars, such as my M52 E36 uses ATF (auto transmission fluid) for power steering ;o

Nice car dude! Just out of curiosity, how much did this set you back by?

By vibration, are we talking like a small buzzing sound that comes from the automatic shift stick? Cos mine does it too! Don't know whats wrong with it :-( The car drives fine though... can't seem to pin point exactly when it buzzes.. only it does.. sometimes..
