  1. Ooooh, yes. Pics would be great. Good choice - very cool cars.
  2. I don't think its fair to criticise old, worn out cars for being old and, err, worn out. 1. Not so much that it was crap, but crap for the price - a relative's Mercedes B200. Horrible to look at, unexpectedly low quality interior, nasty to drive (gutless and bad steering) and unrefined/coarse. Just crap. I can usually find something nice to say about a car - this one, no. 2. Grandma's 1.3 90s Corolla. Yawn. 3. Lincoln Town Car hire car in the USA. Plush, but couldn't ber relied on to turn a corner when asked.
  3. Sedan's are the new coupes. Well, I have to say that don't I!
  4. :( Oh well. Its not like I was going to have my car ready by then anyway.
  5. Really? They're kinda expensive by the time you factor in a gearbox. I'm all for it, but then again its not my money or time. Its going to have the same issues to overcome as a 1UZ swap.
  6. I'd love a GT3, full stop. They're a fantastic car.
  7. I have no idea on what its worth, not even an opinion (rare for me!). Keen to know which porker though. GT3? 993 Turbo?

    E30 24V

Lower it less, LOL. I had this argument extensively with JiB - his car is as low as it can go and still be captive, and is certed at this height. He wanted it lower, I reckon its not worth it for looks when you get too much negative camber and too little ground clearance (his car is for tarmac rally / track). Its not low: What you really need is some longer, softer springs which would be captive but also give the lower ride height. The obvious negative is that they'll be soft... I personally don't think helper springs would work with the way the E30's rear springs work.
  9. You can have the factory LSD refreshed (new plates).

    JiB's POS

And do they fit over the brakes???
  11. Sorry - I meant the question for "Sick Puppy" - I assumed you had the good reason you set out but its not so clear for Sick Puppy.
  12. Yes a cert would be involved (basically for brakes you can change pads/rotors and brake lines but that's it without needing a cert), and it would as you say affect the brake bias. Perhaps a better question, what are your goals?
  13. It might be your first, but its not Troy's first.
  14. Would love to know the gory details ---> a window into my future?
  15. I think mine were Boge. Think... Plus, Evo vs non-Evo could be different. There'll be a part number on them under the dirt...
  16. If they're not on a car at the moment, any chance of a picture from the back of the rim showing the clearance for brakes. Cheers.
  17. Is it possible that there was ducting from the back of the oil cooler out down through there?
  18. Yeah - I've noticed **some** of my rubbers are starting to suffer (door handles, corner of the rear windscreen). Not that bad though (hence the reason I was curious, as mine is a well cared for '96 ---> looking at the pics the green one seems to be even better condition but pictures often lie). The other stuff is more worrying and I see why you're not keen on it. When I saw your post, I wondered if I'd offer you mine but I don't think I should. For the money (+/- 5-10k) I can't find anything else I'd prefer.... Plus mine's brown (Byzanz), which is an acquired taste. Just be patient - something will crop up and they rarely sell quickly.

    325i Race car

Don't forget 3.73 LSD, and sunroof is just the outer skin (all mechanism and inner structure removed). Its certed for the pretty serious brake system and suspension setup - its begging for a hot engine to take advantage of it.
  20. Detonation affects the side doesn't it - its the part of the piston under lateral load? Either way, looks like a less severe version than this (picture #1)? http://www.mr2.net/d796env_pistondamage.html Did it go lean???
  21. Curious to know more specifically what lets it down (only because it looks to be in very good condition from the pictures).
  22. Awesome news! Did you get 6 decent injectors in there? Is it going any better?

    M20 ITB'S

I agree - if you find them second hand, $$. To have them made for you, $$$. Nissan TBs - would be a waste of M3 ones(!) - http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....st&p=222962

    M20 ITB'S

Those were made by Steve Murch (user name crunchy on BS) at Motorsport Engineering using RB26 Nissan (GTR) throttle bodies, if they are the ones I am thinking of. I'd say it would be $$$$$ to get a set made, and you'd really need an aftermarket ecu to use them.
